Indian Institute of Science & Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is one of the best places to study and research Space Science. The institute maintains a good placement record every year. Like every year, the 2021 placement drive is also being conducted at the IIST campus.

Here generally students are placed in the ISRO( Indian Space Research Organization) and from the 2021 batch students will be interviewed by the ISRO board and will placed accordingly and average package provided by isro is around 12 lpa.
Placement Experience:
I wanted to continue my research work and that is why I did not take part in the final placement process. The highest salary package offered was Rs.11 LPA and the average salary of Rs.6 LPA. Acsia technologies, Aadyah aerospace, Antrix corporation, COMSOL-India, HCL, Infosys, Intel, and zentron were some of the top organizations recruited in our final placement program.
Placement Experience:
The placement packages are excellent. Every year, the college maintains a record of 100% placement. Some of the college's regular recruiters include Adobe Systems, Asia Technologies, Astra Microwave, Collins Aerospace, Delta Electronics, Gauge Data Solutions, GES Infotech, Infosys, Josh Talks, Indian Navy, Mahindra Electric, Philips, Wipro, and others. For our batch, the highest wage offer was around 18 LPA, and the median wage offer was 8 LPA.
Placement Experience:
The college placement packages are really commendable. The college is able to maintain a record of 100% placement every year. The placement of the college is decent but the college maintains a record of 100% placement. ISRO is one of the major recruiter of the college. ISRO, ISAC Bengaluru, Tata Consultancy Services, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Viz Experts, Analog Devices, Mercedes Benz are the major recruiters of the college. The highest placement offer goes up to 11 LPA and the average salary package is around 7.50 LPA. The college placement committee is very professional and cooperative and they really support us during the college placemtn drive.
Placement Experience:
The college has a good placement record. It's also worth noting that the majority of this college's placements go to ISRO. However, corporations such as Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra & Mahindra come to university to recruit. Our batch's highest package was 14 LPA, while the lowest was 8 LPA. The placement committee is really dedicated and helpful.
Placement Experience:
The placement record of the college is good. It is also the fact that most of the placement from this college is to ISRO. But companies like Mercedes Benz, Viz Experts, Mahindra and Mahindra visit the campus for placement derive. The highest package for our batch was 12.50 LPA and the lowest was 7.80 LPA. The placement committee is very hardworking and supportive.
Placement Experience:
After six semesters the students are eligible for the placement one most good thing is that students whose CGPA greater than 7.5 are eligible for the ISRO adsorption policy. Out of 150 students 110-120 students were placed in different ISRO Centres Other students were placed in different companies like Adode, Mahindra, Flipkart, Amazon etc . Above 95% of students were placed in jobs. I want to work in ISRO.
Placement Experience:
The placements from this college are mainly to ISRO. Generally almost 60% or more get placements in ISRO. The job opportunities from other companies are less as the number of students are less and majority are placed in ISRO.

If a student is able to score a CGPA of 7.5 or more then he/she gets a chance to be a part of ISRO as a Scientist with level C depending upon the vacancy. If the student is unable to score 7.5 then IIST has it's own Placement cell with min. package of 7.5 Lak p.a.
