What's New in Karnataka Veterinary Animal and Fisheries Sciences University?
KVAFSU UG admissions 2024 are open. The latest admission updates of the institute are as under:
- Online applications are invited for admission to B.V.Sc & AH, BTech (DTech) and B.F.Sc under NRI / OCI / PIO / NRI’s-C / NRI-S Quota. The last date to apply is extended to Sept 15, 2024 (11:59 p.m.). Interested candidates can apply through the university’s official website kvafsu.ac.in.
Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) is a state university located in Bidar, Karnataka. Established in the year 2004, KVAFSU provides various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. In addition, the university also offers Ph. D. in various specializations at the doctorate level. Application form can be downloaded from the official university website.
- Admission to BVSc & AH, BFSc and B.Tech courses is granted on the basis of a valid score in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by KEA.
- The institute also offers M.Tech, M.V.Sc & M.F.Sc courses at the PG level. Admission to these courses is based on students’ performance in the relevant bachelor’s degree and written test.
- MBA admission is offered on the basis of performance in written test followed by GD and the interview round.
- For Ph.D. program, the university conducts separate entrance test followed by an interview. Final admission is subject to candidates’ past academic record.
KVAFSU B.V.Sc, B.F.Sc & B.Tech Admission 2024
Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) provides three bachelor’s programme at UG level, that are Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences (B.F.Sc).
The university offers only one specialization in each for all the UG courses. The duration of the both of UG courses, B.Tech and B.F.Sc, are 4 years and 6 months including internship. The another B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme is of 5 years including internship.
Applicants interested in UG courses need to go through CET administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Admission for B.Tech and B.F.Sc. will be made based on merit of the candidates. Application for CET can be made on the official website of KEA.
- Candidates interested in any of the UG courses should not be under 17 years.
- The university offers 5% marks relaxation in B.V.Sc. & A.H programme for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

KVAFSU M.V.Sc, M.F.Sc & M.Tech Admission 2024
At the postgraduate level, the university offers courses such as Master of Veterinary Sciences (M.V.Sc), Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Fisheries Sciences in one specialization. The duration of each of the PG courses is 2 years. Candidate shall possess a Bachelor degree in the respective subject with 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks from a recognized university/institute.
Selection for Masters degree programs will be done on the basis of the student’s performance in bachelor degree programme and written test conducted by the University.

KVAFSU MBA Admission 2024
KVAFSU also offers MBA course in Food Business in full-time mode at the postgraduate level. Graduation in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Final selection is based on qualifying the entrance test conducted by the university followed by candidates’ evaluation by considering their performance in GD/ PI and the relevant work experience (if any). KVAFSU Ph.D. Admission 2024
In addition to various UG and PG courses, the university provides research-based program viz. Ph.D in selected specializations. Each of the specializations takes 3 years to be completed. For admission to Ph.D, the candidate must have completed bachelors degree with a minimum OGPA of 6.5/10 (6.00/10 for SC/ST category candidates).
The admission for Ph.D. programme will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in a written test and marks obtained in Postgraduate program.

KVAFSU Application Process 2024
For PG/Ph.D Courses:
- Candidates can download the application form available on the University website
- Fill in the necessary details.
- Pay the prescribed Application fee through a Demand Draft in favour of “Comptroller, KVAFSU, Bidar”
- Application fee is INR 800 (General Candidates) and INR 400 (SC/ST/Cat-I candidates)

- College is not maintained cleanly . Girls washroom are filthy and have no water on most days.
- Clinics lack funding and resources . Patient care is compromised and unsanitary.
Admission:
This university was the only one I applied for and Bangalore college was my top priority bcz of the exposure and the rabies lab making it one of the most prestigious veterinary colleges in India. Admission is done through Kcet and Neet examination . If through Kcet it's necessary to be a domicile of Karnataka. Through NEET it happens via VCI counseling . After that NRI counselling is done . Admission process was complex because lot of documents were demanded . And they took a long time to verify the documents . It was a lengthy process

- About the food given in the mess and of good quality

- About library... which is still under construction
- There are only few livestock reared in the campus

As there are only 5 colleges in the state in third round of councelling I have got this college and I have opted this college on my own decision. Though college is new which had only 6 senior batch, food given here is adjustable.

- the thing we didn't liked here is that the food given in hostel
- and also I did not liked the way that they all treat us

to get the seat in this college we need to write an karnatakas common entrance test and if we are able to crack that we can get seat into this at my time the cutoff was around 3000 but it varies yearly we can't say anything

- parthenium extraction on nss class that I dislike most
- canteen is not there there should be atleast

The admission process required you to be present at the college within a week of notice the counselling is done through all india ranking that is vci and the state counselling kcet ,neet exam marks are important for placement

- I like the weather here it's so suited for someone who likes it cold
- Every tourist place is maximum 20 hours away

- College sometimes can be too strict depending on certain regulations
- Food is very bad in mess I personally don't like it

The admission process goes via two channels one is via one is through state counselling that Is kcet and the other is via the vci counselling which is all India once you are accepted into the college you are supposed to come register within a week and take admission the procedure is hectic like other medical colleges but once in it's worth it

Admission:
For this course addmission for some sheet under VCI counselling by appear in neet exam.and for state students KCET exam is conducted. Here reservation benifits is too much.in college fees in hostal fees,in library etc. For us 3 internal exam and one external exams is conducted in a year. Admission should be online complete,it is very difficult to VCI student, some tickets problem etc.

- Teaching staff is very boring. People here don't speak English.
- My vocabulary has gone down because of not speaking to anyvody in English.
Admission:
For fisheries course anybody who has opted PCMB in 12th can attempt cet and then apply for the fisheries course. They expect to have a CET ranking of 10,000 for OBC category.... If you don't get selected you can apply for open counselling which will be held in Bidar. The course is of 4 years which comprises of 2 semesters each. In the fourth year it will include state tour, all India tour and internship. Each semester is for 6 months.

- Due to vast campus we will get tired by roaming
- There are bus facility for about 3 kilo metre.
Admission:
I have took NEET and KCET exams I have gone through the both state and national level counselling processes. About NEET this time it was an easy paper so the cutoff has been increased about 45 to 30 marks for 480 to 590 marks. Their no lot of variations in greater marks than 600. Now comes to eligibility 50% in boards , 134 marks in NEET for OBC. Reservation, about 20 marks for OBC and general candidates.

I want to join the course Bvsc and ah I want to join the college I have passed 2nd puc I have scored well in science in special I have taken PCMB I have chosen I scored in maths 98marks and Biology 86 marks and physics 95and chemistry 92 marks total out of 400. I scored 3710 marks

For the eligibility of the course one has to complete puc from cbse or state board preferably Karnataka state board and the person has to apply to the kcet examination through online mode . The application form details are mentioned in the kea.kar.nic.in website which is the official website of the Karnataka examination cell .The application form will be available a month or 2 before the board examination . The students who are not abled to ear the board examination there results will be withhold and after the compartment examination and clearing of the examination there results will be announced. Candidates from Karnataka. General merit, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B --Rs.500/- SC, ST, CAT-1 --Rs.250/- .Female candidates of Karnataka --Rs.250/-. Candidates outside Karnataka -- Rs.750/- .
