The college is very diverse as different students from different states are studying here. And very welcoming to everyone.
The sky here is gorgeous. Both sunrise and sunset is different here. The clouds here givesvas a visual treat. The infrastructure of the college is quite beautiful.

Dislikes

The climate here is extreme . During summer its so hot as the temperature some times rise up to 40 degrees and During winters it falls to 10 degrees.
As the college is located in the remote area, 25 km away from the main city .The city life will be missed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mainly geography influences me. Using its application in real-world problems. We are using software like ArcGIS and solving the problems using the applications of geography. Personal laptops are necessary as the lab does not provide a large number of desktops to the students which has to be improved. The exams are easy if students are regular in the Class and have general knowledge.

I TOOK THE COURSE ON MY INTEREST TO KNOW A NEW SUBJECT. THOUGH THE SYLLABUS IS VAST IT DOESNOT BENEFIT FOR A COMPETITATIVE WORLD. THE TEACHERS SHOULD MOVE ON OLD CUSTOM OF ESSAY WRITING TO APTITUDE QUESTIONS AND MORE APPLICABLE ELEMENTS IN THE CURRICULAM. THE EXAMINATION SHOULD MAKE THE STUDENTS TO USE THE CREATIVE BRAIN TO ANSWER AND CRITICALLY ANALYSE THE QUESTIONS.

The overall environment of the campus is very lively and beautiful . And our friend circle are fabulous since they are all from different states we enjoy a nice cultural integrity even if we have much differences between us.
Eventhough we get only one fest per year that is my favourite since ANKUR is a platform for each and every student to showcase their talents and improve their inborn talents and boost their confidence and self esteem.

Dislikes

The behavior of the administrative people and most of the staffs are horrible. They are treating the students like animals and we dont deserve that kinfd of treatment.
The atmosphere of the Hostel and the low quality mess service is horrible that makes the students life a hell in the campus/\.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got to know about the course from my school teacher and he said it is a fine course and has more job opportunities. There is nothing i got from the curriculum for real-world applications. Only one or two faculties teach properly. Others are an utter flop. They are still following the old-school system. They must improve their teaching by giving more application-level tasks and all. Instead of giving an essay-type exam that simply tires the students. Instead, they must give multiple-choice questions that will make the students think more and read more will be more beneficial for their future.

Overall the campus is very nice . It is very calm and eco friendly compared to the outside locality. and i love my department very much. All of my faculty are really nice and the non teaching faculty are superb. They help us everytime.
The extra curricular activities are very enticing since it is platform to improve our inborn talents and the appreciation is a nice fuel for me to go forward and improve myself as a person. The fellow students are mostly very friendly except some

Dislikes

The Mess Service and the administration workers . they must be much respectful to the student. Sometimes they behave like students are like animals and they behave very rudely to us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since i loved Geology from the UG days I opt Geology for my Master's also. Due to limited facilities in laboratory, we dont get that much practical knowledge apart from mineralogy, paleontology, petrology, ore geology etc. However, we do get much practical knowledge from various internships and by the project work we do in our academic year. As for the improvement of the course curriculum, if they can give more practical based classes instead of focusing more on the theoretical part it will be more helpful for thr students who are interested in Geology. The exams are very difficult and we have to write too much always in the end semester exams. So, if they can make the questions from essay-type to multiple-choice questions that are more intriguing students will read more and will pass with flying colors.

Likes

I like the nature and surroundings especially a sunset point is there for our relaxation.
Teachers are supportive and department infrastructure and teaching methods are too good.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities and mess food. Especially toilet facilities.
Health centre and ambulance services too bad. Doctors are not responsible at all. There is no lady nurse at the night time. Ambulance driver is very rude towards students.

Remarks:

The college is good and the environment is good for studies and the college gives ample time for self-studies we just need to utilize that time. One remark is that the college does not have any indoor playing halls I would be happy if indoor halls are constructed for the students to play.

Remarks:

This is a central government instituition so has a good reputation in the outside world. The quality of education is very high. There is a very high scope for future job oppurtunities. It is not centrally located.
