Admission to the course is based on an entrance exam, and students are selected from a merit list. The primary draw of the institution is its esteemed faculty, especially the BA English honors program led by Dr. Bimal Kumar Sahu. The program includes two 90-minute lectures per day and caters to students aged 20 to 25. The batch size is about 350-360 students, with a high passing rate of 310-320.

Facilities include labs and sports seminars. The course fee is feasible at Rs 8,000, with no additional charges post-admission. Scholarships are available based on an entrance exam, providing an average of Rs 750 monthly to qualifying students. Yearly tuition fees range from Rs 3,200 to Rs 4,500, totaling about Rs 15,000 for a three-year course. Payments are accepted through banks without extra admission charges. Scholarships for ST-SC and OBC students cover all charges, and two BPL students from Jharkhand receive free education.

Scholarships are provided annually, with amounts of Rs 7,500 in the first year and Rs 11,500 in the second year reported by a student. The college supports placement opportunities primarily with state companies for vocational training students and offers a conducive environment for preparation. The highest package offered was Rs 8.5 lakh per annum for an editorial role. Fees include a Rs 500 admission form charge, Rs 400 to Rs 500 for semester exams, and under Rs 2,000 for semester admissions.

A yearly tuition fee hike of Rs 1,500 is applied. Scholarships require a minimum of 55% for ST students and 60% for general category students. Although the college does not offer direct campus placements, internships and student merits play a crucial role in securing job offers.
