I really like chemical engineering as it is a branch of engineering which purely deals with one of the branches of science that is chemistry and from industrialists point of view chemical engineers have a major role to play at. Overall the course is great i dont specifically like the cse it courses. The curriculum is good it has good course outcomes which preppares engineers to face problems which are not even known today. Teaxhign is great obviously it is an NIT.

I have choose this course because I have interest in Chemical. There are 98 students in my branch and 12 professors are there but they are also involved in other classes so we can assume the faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:20.All of the faculty members of my college are well qualified and have qualified PHD and their teaching methods are satisfying. In one semester of 6 months there are Mid term and End term mid term is taken after 2and half months after the semester starts and at the end End terms are taken. If you will study and attend the class regularly it will easy to paas if not then it will be difficult

I am pursuing Btech in chemical engineering which is 4 year course. Departing here is good and there is no shortage of professors. As it is NIT, it must be the best in all fields and it is. Examinations are done twice a semester and are not so difficult to pass.

I choose Chemical Engineering here at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar as my choice branch considering its scope. The male-female ratio of our class is about 4:1. The teaching faculty of chemical Engineering is fantabulous and well-qualified. Two major exams are held over a semester and passing percentage is 40.
The curriculum of the college is very good and as per the latest industrial development. The curriculum is flexible and can adapt to the change as per the industrial guidelines. The college faculty is also very good. The faculty of the college teaching methods are very simple and the faculty properly help us to clear all the concepts. The faculty have completed their PhD program from the top universities of India and they also have very good research experience also which is very beneficial form us.
I chose chemical engineering because I was interested in choosing a career in it, And the student ratio is pretty much good and the college environment is so great, We get a library with facilities like computers, and everything. In short, the environment to study is so great that every student will love this college. In fact the teachers and prof. Are so highly qualified that students get no doubt left. They will help the students as much as they can and they will give their valuable time to students. After teaching the entire syllabus there are exams which consist of mid-term [ 30 marks ] and major exams [ which consists of 60 marks ] and the rest 10 marks for attendance and assignments. Assignments are just tasked they are easy if u are attentive in class. The teachers treat so nicely and always provide their 100%. Students love this college as the weather is also great and the overall facilities are also great. Talking about the exams so they are easy if u are understanding in class everything.
My course is chemical engineering and its curriculum is good. Academics is ok and faculties are good and everyone knows some exceptions are everywhere so except them all is good. But just because of lack of time there is some problems which is faced bTV everyone.
I have to admit that the placement opportunities are not very satisfying and the packages offered are quite average.
Previous placement statistics reveal that the scope for chemical engineering at NIT Srinagar is not very satisfying. Last year 53 students enrolled for placements in the Department of Chemical Engineering, and 15 of them, or 28% of the total, were placed in key businesses including IOCL, GAIL, BARC, SAIL, etc. The average compensation package is 8 LPA, and the highest salary package is 10 LPA. Chemical engineering students were hired by analytics firms like ZS Associates, Vedanta, and others for an average pay package of 9 LPA.
Finding a job after completing a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering at NIT Srinagar can be a daunting task for many students. According to statistics, only a small percentage of students, around 9-10%, can secure a job right away. However, for those who do not find immediate employment, there is a viable option to consider. Preparing for and passing the GATE examination can open doors to better job opportunities and pave the way for future career growth.
