The main subjects i was interested were Dynamics of Machine, Manufacturing Process-1 and 2, Computer-aided Manufacturing and Fluid Engineering. Yes as i said some faculty have a good knowledge of industries and know very well but most faculty only have bookish knowledge. The teaching methods should be more practical They should always teach the concept and then give them the example of real world like in which machine it will be applied. The timing of exams is mostly 2 to 5 pm. The end sem paper is of 100 marks. The mid term paper is of 50 marks but in one day two mid-term papers take place. The timing of mid term is given two hours. And then 3 hours break is given for next mid term exam so in mid term exam we have one in the morning and second in the evening. As mentioned the difficulty level is 30%.

I was having lot of option but due to an interest in automotive industry i chosse this course and talking about the faculty ration in each main subject there are almost 4 professor teaching the same subject which seems a little wierd. And the exams are taken at a perfect time.

I would rate it average. No university or college i believe has the "industry ready" level of training or knowledge to give to engineers currently. Its a shame but this is mutual with other people from other college too.

I wanted to Pursue aeronautics but as it is a narrow field, I chose to be in mechanical engineering. It not only helps me gain insights into aeronautics but also allows me to gain knowledge in various other fields especially robotics and drones which are highly emerging these days. I feel the number of industrial visits should be increased. Considering 5 months semester Test 1 after 1.5 months- medium Test 2 after 3 months - difficult Viva starting of 5th month-easy Semester end exam at 5th-month end - medium

Our courses are specially designed by our main faculties of the specific course. The course covers all the main topics in detail and even other topics at a basic level. These courses prepare us for our core subjects and even other subsequent subjects. All the courses include lab sessions or tutorial sessions, which help us to gain practical knowledge and prepare us for the real world. Exams are taken in 3 phases - class tests, sessional, and final exams. The class test is of 20 marks and is conducted for 40 mins, the sessional exam is 0f 50 marks and is conducted for 2 hrs and the final paper is of 100 marks and is conducted for 3 hours.

Nirma adopts new education policies issued by the government as soon as they are declared. Hence the course that we study is fresh. However there is some gap between the industry tools and softwares used and the things we learn here. They try to adapt it, but not always it is possible to keep track of fast paced industrial technology, hence they focus on fundamentals.

The course curriculum was nice. A mix of theory and practicals was there. Faculty: student ratio would for mechanical engineering would be around 1:24, considering all mechanical engineering students across 4 years. Exams were 2 times-mid sem and end sem. All faculties in my knowledge were PhD or currently pursuing PhD.

I've chosen the mechanical engineering course because after 4-5 years that course demand goes too high and personally, it's my passion In the mechanical engineering department faculty is very good and It's not difficult to pass the exam.

In the university, the course curriculum is according to UGC guidelines. You can get to learn electives of different branches as per students' choices. We can apply for internships in different companies by ourselves and some companies come to college for internships and by the end of education those who seek placement can have at least one offer.

The curriculum includes a mixture of both practicals, labs, assignments and exams. The exams are conducted on a regular basis and surprise tests are a thing in this college. The faculties are quite good and helpful in nature
According to the reviews online and talking to some of my friends, I got to know that both the colleges are really good. Both the colleges have lively atmosphere and culture and also, the faculties are really good and give great placements. You won’t regret joining either of two.

Also, from overall view I think you should opt for Nirma. But don’t rush into your decision, think as much as you want and choose the best for you. The decision is all yours at last.
