I chose this course because it gives much larger package then any other course , faculties have lot of experience and many of them have researched in foreign universities , some of them are from famous iits , you have to give time to study , otherwise you will not be able to qualify mid term end term exams .

Inwas interested in it. Faculty is good. In each class there are about 300 students for first semester. Other than that for every 15-20 students a TA is assigned. Faculty is very well educated, mostly phds. Examinations are condicted very frequently and it is tough passing here in iiitd as compared to other colleges

I chose CSE because I've always loved computer science and had a good interest for it. Faculty here is great and in my batch there are about 600-650 students. The staffs here are really good at teaching and they know what they are doing. However, studies here are pretty difficult. In the first semester you really need to put more effort on math and Introduction to Programming as they are the hardest compared to other all. But with hard work and dedication anything is possible.

All the faculty members hold a Ph.D. degree from very famous universities across the world and their teaching style is also excellent. The assignments which we get from the college contain previous years questions

The main reason that I chose this is because of the great faculty and great placements. For each professor, there is a 1:300 ratio of faculty: student ratio but for every group of 20-30 a TA will be allocated to clear our doubts. Faculty qualifications are great as you check it through iiitd website. Every week we have lab, tutorial, and 2 quizzes in each semester per subject, midsem and endsem.

Each course here is well structured and students rarely get time here for their extracurricular activities. The quality of faculty here is top-notch as almost every teacher in IIITD is from a foreign university and follows a foreign curriculum. And, it's very difficult to pass exams since you have to study the whole semester.

I chose B.Tech in the CSE branch because of my interest in Programming and yes, Placement too. Nonetheless, the faculty here is very good, helpful, and supportive. They have a different teaching system from other institutes. Here we have a head faculty or the main instructor of the subject and Teaching Fellows and Teaching Assistants working under them
This Institute has course curriculum are well equipped and highly Research centre. There Academic is well an good managed. this Institute has good faculty members were known for PhD candidate. their ratio is 1:15 overall students.
The course syllabus is really up to date, and is almost parallel to whatever is taught in ivy league universities like MIT, Georgia Tech etc. The facilities are PhD holders, all from reputed universities from outside the country.
The faculty is good. All are GATE qualified. They have a great teaching experience. They provide a friendly environment for the students. Their knowledge is good which helps the students to clear their doubt easily. Our college provides industry exposure also which helps students to expose themselves to an industrial environment.
The choice depends on what matters the most to you.
If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice.
I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.
All three colleges namely, IIIT Delhi, NSIT, and DTU are excellent options for CSE. However, you might want to consider the following points before making the final decision
So choose wisely based on your priorities!
Yes, IIIT Delhi is an amazing choice for CSE. Here are some highlights of the institute
Additionally, the campus has 24/7 Wi-Fi access and every student is given a unique email ID here.
IT from NSIT is the best option among these.
IIIT Delhi has an excellent research culture and professors from top universities like Carnegie Mellon. So, if you are interested in research, you should choose IIIT D. Overall IT from NSIT is the best option in terms of academics and placements.
IIIT Delhi is better for CSE. It is an excellent option for CSE. The department has an excellent faculty base. IIIT Delhi has an active coding culture. If you are interested in coding, you will love being on campus.
The institute has an impressive placement record. IIIT Delhi placements 2022 concluded with an average package of INR 19.76 LPA.
I won’t recommend you choose a dual program from BITS. For CSE, I would highly recommend IIIT Delhi. It has great research opportunities. It does not have the same branch value as NSUT Delhi/ DTU, but its growth rate is high. It will soon become a brand like IIIT Hyderabad. Compared to the new IITs, IIITD has a locational advantage because it is situated in the national capital.
BITS dual is a decent choice, but only if you get a CS. It depends on your performance in the first year. The odds of getting a CS are less than 20% which is pretty low, and the cutoffs keep getting higher each year. As far as the ‘BITS’ tag is concerned, it's really not that important in reality.
For the new IITs, go only if you are getting a CS over there. Do not rely on branch change. Also, avoid going to those located in small/ secluded towns because then you won’t get a lot of exposure. Also, do consider the faculty and infrastructure if you plan to go to a new IIT. My order of preference for CSE is IIITD > NSUT Delhi/DTU > BITS Goa/Hyderabad > IIT.
Thus, for a CSE, I would suggest you to choose either IIITD or NSUT Delhi/DTU.
IIIT Delhi follows a scheme of bonus marks. These marks are awarded for excellence in academics, sports, olympiads, etc.
The top 1% performers in the 12th CBSE boards are awarded bonus scores. To apply for bonus marks through academics, you must be a Delhi candidate. Without bonus marks, only your JEE Mains rank is considered.
Here are the ranks for CSE at IIIT Delhi:
A bonus percentile of 2/3.5 will be directly added to your JEE Mains percentile.
Eligibility for B.Tech at IIIT Delhi is-
These are the requirements to get a B.Tech CSE at IIIT Delhi.
If you have the option of choosing between a CSE and CSD course at IIIT Delhi, I will suggest you go for CSE. The only difference in these branches is the additional MS component which can be taken later if you want through a branch change.
CSD is a dual degree, meaning you will be awarded two degrees, a B.Tech in CSE and an MS by Research in CSE. It’s a research-oriented course wherein you will have to write research papers and an MS thesis. Students struggle to get their research papers published so the duration of the course isn’t fixed. Some might take more than 5 years to complete this program depending
Both programs are similar in terms of the job opportunities they offer and their curriculum. From the third year, CSD students have to take up an extra project every semester 3rd year onwards.
Even a CSE student can also opt for a B.Tech (Hons.) in CSE degree once he has completed two years of his course. He will be required to complete extra projects similar to the Dual Degree student.
IIT institutions will always have a better tag in terms of reputation and value of degree when it comes to choosing between any other universities. Although IIT Patna and IIT Dhanbad are fairly new branches of IIT, the services and quality of education is rapidly improving and has become almost equivalent to some of the old IIT institutes.
Faculty at IIITD is much better than the IITs but one of my friends opted for IIT Patna seeing the ‘IIT’ tag. The CSE branch is constantly improving every year and choosing an IIT campus will ensure a diverse, highly academic and comparatively better peer group to be part of.
The table below shows a brief overview of the institutes:

Features:
IIT Dhanbad and IIT Ropar offer much better campus with modern infrastructure, updated lab facilities, excellent faculty members, huge library resources, good hostel facilities and more.
Student Life:
IIT campuses are clearly known for conducting the best extra-curricular activities and events. They conduct cultural fests, workshops and seminars as part of the teaching module and also have multiple inter-disciplinary activities across the semester.
Branches:
Placements:
Therefore, given a choice, students must choose to opt for an IIT campus as compared to IIITD. Delhi has an advantage due to its location but IITs surpasses all the factors.
IIIT Delhi offers both electives and mandatory courses. Students are at freedom to make a choice in case of electives while there is no such choice in mandatory courses.
Now, the best part of the CSE branch at IIIT Delhi is that it has the maximum elective slots of any other branch. So, students get to choose electives from a wide range of courses like
CSE will offer more academic flexibility than CSAI. CSAI will have some mandatory AI electives which might be beneficial if you are interested in the field. Also, you won’t have to study useless courses and can focus on AI. However, you will be restricted to the AI field, unlike CSE which gives you enough flexibility to pursue the field of your choice. Unless you are certain of your interest in AI, it’s best to choose CSE.
