My course is computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence. The course if packed with mandatory AI courses that I need to take. I believe the future is of AI and the course outline really prepares me well for the same. The curriculum prepares me with real world applications as there are many mandatory projects I have built during the courses which are resume worthy. And very much related to things that you face in real job. The courses are really good designed in the sense that you don't need to stress too much about personal projects as the course projects tend to be enough. The teaching method starts mostly from scratch in beginning courses but you're supposed to retain that knowledge to take higher level course in the future. The frequency of exams is really high with a exam always at your door each week. Also the exams are really difficult. My branch as many courses with average Cgpa as 6-5.

The course curriculum is pretty challenging and fucks up your mental state. BEWARE: you will regret coming here if you want to chill out after your JEE journey. Right from sem 1, you'll have to work your ass off. I personally didn't find faculty that interesting, but I'm just in sem 2, so I haven't had much experience with profs. Some profs are nice but most of them have been mid, some worse ofc.

I chose CSAI bcoz of my keen interest in artificial intelligence and the placement opportunities which comes with it. Teachers of IIITD are highly qualified and are constantly updated with the latest technology and teaching techniques. We have eight semesters, and our curriculum is quite tricky compared to other B-tech colleges and universities.
The course curriculum is pretty modern. Unlike major colleges in India like IITs, NITs, etc., students are not required to study physics, chemistry, or math courses in their freshman year. All major and upcoming tech domains have courses that the students can take as electives as and when they want. There are no attendance criteria for 97% of courses. The student-faculty ratio is course dependent for example for a core course for my branch the ratio may be as low as 20 students per teacher and the ratio for a common course may be as high as 100 students for a teacher. However, all the professors and TAs have a lot of office hours in which the students can go and clear doubts. The dates of the exams are fixed for a semester and the difficulty depends on the course. In addition to exams, most courses also have assignments and project work. The date of submission for these is variable though and may even be extended if many students face difficulties in them.
The curriculum of the college was also very good and up to the mark. The curriculum was up to date and it follows all the latest industrial guidelines and norms. The curriculum helps us to develop our analytical and problem-solving skills. The curriculum mostly focuses on coding and programing language. The faculty of the college is also very good and superb. The faculty properly understand our mindset and design the syllabus in a way that we are easily able to grab in all the concepts and fundamentals. The faculty is not only of PhD level but their experience and their teaching standards are unmatched. The faculty can easily break down the complex problem into simple easily understandable ways.
IIIT Delhi offers both electives and mandatory courses. Students are at freedom to make a choice in case of electives while there is no such choice in mandatory courses.
Now, the best part of the CSE branch at IIIT Delhi is that it has the maximum elective slots of any other branch. So, students get to choose electives from a wide range of courses like
CSE will offer more academic flexibility than CSAI. CSAI will have some mandatory AI electives which might be beneficial if you are interested in the field. Also, you won’t have to study useless courses and can focus on AI. However, you will be restricted to the AI field, unlike CSE which gives you enough flexibility to pursue the field of your choice. Unless you are certain of your interest in AI, it’s best to choose CSE.
