The placement for MSc students is very poor the students from the third sem are eligible to apply the institute is more focused on research for MSc students if any companies visit the LPA is 7-8 LPA per annum. companies like byjus Akash sri chaitanya on mobile came for campusing.
I choose MSc in applied chemistry because I want to learn and search chemical compounds. The faculty is too good, the student ratio is 1:3, Well-qualified faculty but the teaching methods are very good. Term exams are on time and not too difficult to pass.
Premier Institute for Higher Education. Professors at the Physics Department are very intelligent and supportive. World Class Lab Facilities with all round development and exposure to substantial research prompted me to go for NIT Silchar.
Because it is an institute of national importance and it is nit college every Indian science student want to join nit or iit so I choose this college in iit or nit teachers are highly qualified and atmosphere of college is very good
The NIT Ranking was better than my state University so i preferred NITS. Apart from that it boasts of a huge campus covering 600 acers. Asia's largest digital library was also present here. These things attracted me towards the college. I had hoped for better lab here but unfortunately M. Sc labs are smaller than a normal living room and the quality of lab doesn't match to the tag of NIT. Although B. Tech labs are awesome, and are far far better than Masters lab. Also the cultural fest and sports are the main reason of attraction. The campus is quite disciplined. Although the weather might ruin your day.
This college is situated in the lust green area of north east making it a perfect place for studying and healthy life style. Also since it is college of national importance it has weighed quality. The fraternity and administration work with great enthusiasm for the best outcome of the students, Recently it has also been upgrade to 7th Best NIT among the other 31 NIT's, the professor here are highly qualified having field knowledge and imparting to us as best as they can, the intra curricular and extra curricular are properly balanced, as far as of now i am having a happy stay here.
NIT SILCHAR is one of the technological institutes of national importance established in the year 1950,one of the core learning centre for sciences and technology in north east, gaining spectacular growth in last few years it has secured 10th place out of 31 colleges, having the Asia's largest digital library, your life circle of 7 lives would not ne enough to compete all the books, the lush green environment and its location on southern side of kashi hills makes it a magnetic centre for knowledge thus lives. The patron of education and the spice of knowledgeable people from across the country under a 695 acres of land compressing of more than 5000 students is all i can describe my college, words fall short apart. Negative remark as such is its isolation from ROI it takes almost 1½ day to reach West Bengal from Silchar, road connectivity is less and even the climate is unpredictable here the funniest part is I have experienced all 3 seasons in a single day, morning it was raining at afternoon it was sunny and night I was chilled out
NIT Silchar is a prestigious engineering college that imparts quality education in various fields. However, the PG courses aren't very well-known and only the UG courses have gained fame over time. It is therefore advisable to check the profiles of the teachers in the respective department.
Additionally, NIT Silchar is located in a remote location and you might find it difficult to procure your equipment for projects. MTech depends on the quality of the research and project you have completed and if you fail to accomplish it your MTech degree is invaluable.
Most companies visiting NIT Silchar prefer BTech students to MTech students. So getting a good job let alone a core job is very difficult here. The institute has no international ties so your future prospects may narrow down further.
Consider all the above factors before making your final decision!
