DIT University was founded in 1998, and in 2013, the UGC granted it the status of a State Private University. The institution provides more than 70 undergraduate, graduate, certificate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses in a variety of subject areas, including applied science, engineering and technology, architecture and design, and economics. DIT University Admission Highlights 2024

DIT University offers B.Tech and B.Arch courses at the UG level. The basic eligibility for both courses is a pass in 10+2. Admission preference into B. Tech is given to students having valid scores in JEE Main while B. Arch admission is based on the NATA or JEE Main score. The course eligibility criteria and duration is given below:

The university also offers B.Pharm, B.Sc, BCA, BA & B.Des courses at the UG level. 10+2 in the relevant subject group is the minimum eligibility criteria for these courses. For admission into UG courses, the candidates are shortlisted for the counselling round as per their marks in 10+2. In the case of B.Pharm., selection is also based on the UKSEE score. The course duration and eligibility criteria is given below:

At the PG level, the university offers M.Tech and MBA courses under various specializations. The minimum eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. In M.Tech admission, preference is given to GATE/NET-qualified students for exams. MBA selection is done based on CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/UKSEE/DUET scores followed by GD and PI. The course eligibility criteria and duration is given below:

DIT University also offers M.Pharm., M.Sc., MCA and M.Des. at PG level. A Bachelor’s degree is required for admission in all the PG courses. M.Pharm. admission is based on the GPAT/DUET/UKSEE exams. For admission into M.Sc., candidates are evaluated on the basis of their merit in the qualifying exam or UKSEE score. Admission to MCA and M.Des. solely depends upon merit in the qualifying exam.

At the doctoral level, the university offers a Ph.D. program to students with relevant master’s degrees with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. A valid score in GATE/ SLET or NET is required for admission. The university also conducts DUET exam for Non-GATE/ Non-SLET/ Non-NET candidates. The final selection is based on a Personal Interview (PI). The course eligibility criteria and duration is given below:

UG Scholarships

1. Uttarakhand / Other Himalayan States Scholarships: A 26% scholarship on Tuition fees is granted to the permanent residents of Uttarakhand / Other Himalayan States for whom 40% of seats are reserved in all UG / PG programs. For claiming the scholarship students need to carry a valid Original Domicile Certificate at the time of their Counseling / Admission.
2. Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship For Girl Students: 10% scholarship on Tuition fee for Girl students in 1st year of the UG program, if the student has scored 80% and above in X & XII Standard. For continuation of CGPA of 8.5 should be maintained every year.
3. Scholarship For Son/Daughter Of Defence Personnel: 5% scholarship on Tuition fees for the wards of Defense personnel. Students will be considered eligible only if she/he has a valid certificate.
4. Scholarship Based On Performance In Sports: The scholarship will be awarded as per the Sports Quota Scholarship Policy only for the 1st year of the program.
5. Financial Assistance For Sibling(s): 5% scholarship on Tuition fee of the first year for the siblings of present students/alumni.
6. Scholarship For Ward Of Single Mothers: 5% scholarship on Tuition fees for the ward of a single mother whose income is less than 5 LPA.
7. Scholarship For Differently Abled Students: A scholarship of 5% on Tuition fees is applicable for differently-abled students. Eligible students must submit the certificate of Handicap by the Government/Hospital. For continuation of the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 7.0 every year.

PG Scholarships

For PG students, the university offers Merit-Based Scholarships, the Uttrakhand State Scholarship Policy, Scholarships based on Sports as provided to UG students, and Additional Scholarships for New Students (for first-year PG students).

Additional Scholarship for New Students – 

1.) A scholarship of 5% of Tuition fees is applicable for the siblings of present students/Alumnus on submission of the following documents:

• University ID Card and Aadhaar/Any valid photo ID proof of the siblings bearing the name of the parent.
• Copy of the Degree Certificate issued to the sibling by DIT/DITU (if applicable)

The above scholarship would only be granted if the student (sibling) has completed his/her studies at the University.

2.) Scholarship of 10% of Tuition fees for the students graduating/graduated from DIT University and opting for a higher program in DIT University without any gap on submission of the following documents:

• University ID Card
• Copy of Provisional Certificate issued in the same year /ac Grade Card (all semesters)
