What students say about University of Warwick

Likes

  • In my opinion, the Economics department at Warwick is excellent, with perfect study atmospheres, updated research facilities, and guided internship resources that ensure well-rounded learning.
  • We can apply for spring weeks in my first year, and there are a lot of summer internship opportunities provided.
  • Excellent opportunities post-graduation await students who perform well and know what they want to pursue moving forward.
  • Yes, I received a scholarship from the university, covering 25% of the full tuition fees, under the Changemakers Program.
  • In spite of most of them being paid, there are many clubs that provide a lot of free sessions.
  • My accommodation facility was a private housing that I had managed to secure with the help of spareroom.com - one of the most helpful websites for an overseas student.
  • I had to pay for the visa application on top of that, along with medical insurance of ?150.
  • The faculty of this course are all PhD scholars, so they have good experience in the field.
  • Warwick is often targeted for economics and finance-related subjects, allowing excellent opportunities for internships and career experience.

  • It is a campus university and not in a big city such as London, which can be a downside to some people.

I chose the University of Warwick as it is very prestigious and highly ranked for my course. My overall Uni experience has been a very good learning opportunity not just about academics but also about life skills.

  • Dislikes:
  • It is quite expensive to even live a meagre life here. It can be financially challenging and the university is quite far away from major cities like London and Manchester. Getting medical attention in the UK is really challenging and is a big hurdle.

The course is very challenging and managing all of it far away from home really makes you come out of your comfort zone and do your best. The cohort is very diverse and enables you to make friends and acquaintances all over the world and let you understand their perspectives and thoughts. I am in deep awe of the infrastructure and standards set by the university and the very beautiful campus set in an English country side. Every subject is challenging and requires you to give your best. The faculty is really wonderful and so is the curriculum.

  • Dislikes:
  • The time-frame for each module is really short and sometimes things feel a bit rushed, but I think it is a general problem for all Universities here. As, we get less time and simply we are not used such fast paced study back in India.

Till now the experience has been great and I have been enjoying my time here.

  • Dislikes:
  • Honestly, there is nothing that I dislike. If I have to suggest something to university, it can be to provide more placement and collaboration opportunities to distance learning candidates as well. Because for full time programs, there are more opportunities.

Reflecting on my experience at Warwick Business School, I would describe it as transformative and enriching. The collaborative culture and ample opportunities for personal and professional growth have truly made my journey memorable and rewarding.
