Remarks :
As per the ambiance, freedom, and friendliness, I am very well satisfied. It depends on personal ability when it comes to placements. Probably the best 3 years in my life are the college days. They are a mixture of everything education, practical knowledge, experience, friends, fests, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The best thing about VIT was having a fully flexible credit system. Each subject will be having a minimum of 2 credits and a maximum of 4 credits. In total, for BBA we should complete 130 credits in 3 years. The subjects are divided into four categories like University core, Program core, University elective, and Program elective. University core consists of subjects that are must-do for every person in the college irrespective of their undergraduate program. Where Program core consists of must do subjects in the particular ug stream. The best thing comes in university and program elective where we can choose the subjects in which we are interested thus by managing the credits. Also, the major plus point of having a flexible credit system is we can opt for our favorite timetable and also our favorite faculty. This was one of the reasons for me to join VIT. Talking about exam structure it is comprised of 60% internals which has CAT 1 and CAT 2 and few digital assignments and 40% externals which is of Final assessment test. We also had exciting projects as J components. The minimum percentage is to get 50% in aggregate to clear the subject.
Placement Experience :
Yes, they provide internships as well but it depends on only your personal interest to go for it. My personal experience in an internship was for about 8 days in Vellore for which I got 4000 rupees as a stipend. As I said it depends on personal interest.
College Events :
The best thing is the freedom we get in college. VIT conducts many events like gravitas, Rivera which is full of fun. Rivera is conducted during February every year where many celebrities come to the fest. Rivera is organized for four days. Last time many celebrities like Rana Daggubati Shruti Haasan and many celebrities came. We also have an opportunity of organizing stalls at VIT for Rivera. We personally organized a stall in our final year and trust me those four days were the best days in my life which is fulfilled with fun.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Straight forward answer, It depends upon the course we opt for. For BBA it is pretty feasible. For engineering it depends on merit, it is quite affordable overall. It costed around 55k for the tuition fee per year for BBA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Indian Bank offers educational loans for VIT. Not only loans VIT also selects students who have a high merit score in their 12th. They come under star batch and they don't need to pay any money for the accommodation as well as tuition fee. Vit mostly selects students from the Agaram foundation for the star batch.
Campus Life :
VIT just not focuses on education. It is a mixture of everything. VIT has a swimming pool also. They have everything for every game. Cricket ground, football ground, Indoor stadium, outdoor stadium, Gym everything. It's a hub of everything. They also conduct the VIT premier league where the winning team wins a huge amount of money.
Hostel Facilities :
Trust me VITs infrastructure is of top-notch quality. Most probably they provide the best hostel facilities all over south India. The quality of food they provide is the best until I experienced in any college. Never doubt about the infrastructure provided by VIT, They are of the next level.
Alumni/Alumna :
As there is no ragging in the college we find a pretty friendly relationship between the seniors and juniors also I was never treated as a junior rather I was treated as a younger brother. They also helped my friends during their final year projects as well. Raging is prohibited in VIT.
Admission :
Admission for BBA at my time was a simple process. I just applied for the course by filling an online application and then sent the application form to the college via speed post along with my 12th mark list photocopy. However offline applications are also available at the college. For my course, the students are selected based upon the 12th marks, and no student having less than 75% in 12th are selected. After a few days, I was called to attend the counseling process in order to get a seat. As my rank was around 100 on the merit list, I was the 12th guy to get a BBA seat out of 100 seats that are available. Note: The merit list is for all the ug courses in VIT like BBA, B com, BSC computer science, animation, etc. There were around 100 seats available under each ug program.
Faculty :
Well, there are faculties who are quite experienced and knowledgeable. As I mentioned it is up to us to choose the faculty whomever we like. So there will be no issues with the faculty. My experience was very friendly with the faculties as well. They helped me with my projects and also gave some valuable advice foot my future as well. Not all the faculties are such pleasing there were some faculties who were strict as well.
