Course Curriculum Overview :

It's been my a year and a half stay here at iit kharagpur. I finished my btech 1year It has all courses related to computers, electricals, mechanical, civil,chemistry. All the basic stuff is taught there. 2 exams per semester Midsemster and endsemester

Placement Experience :

Placements are pretty good because this is IIT and most companies generally prefer IITians Numbers are like 50 in every 60 are placed in a company Internships are provided for students at IIT kharagpur.

College Events :

Too many celebrations take place all throughout the year to showcase the skills of students here Kshitiz is one of the tech fests and is the largest tech fest in ASIA and people come in large numbers. Spring fest, inter IIT sports.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Generally Mess fee-13000 per semester, Hostel fee-12500 per semester, Tution fee For students whose income is below 1lakh - 0 tuition fee, 1-5 lakh- 33667 per semester, 5 lakh above - 1,00,000, This seems to be good, And the facilities here justify the fee structure.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I take MCM scholarship. Merit cum means scholarship. I am paid 1k per month here. This is given for good academics in intermediate class. Loans are given to all the students who require them. The college has many banks inside it.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel fee 12500. The hostel has high speed wifi. Lan cable connection to every student. Every room accommodates 1 student. So they are good and spacious. There are workers available to clean every thing all the time. Good good infrastructure. It has atleast one volleyball, basketball, batminton ground.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is managed bysociety STUDENT ALUMNI CELL and INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS CELL, they connect all the alumni to campus. Seniors are helpful in many ways. They tell us how to manage academics and extra curricular activities. And they help us in get of depression any.

Admission :

I first Cleared my JEE Main exam with 237/360 marks with AIR 2178.So I qualified for writing jee advanced 2018. Then I cleared JEE Advanced with 50% securing AIR 2835. Got placed in electronics department.

Faculty :

Faculty here at IIT are really talented, smart It's been my a year and a half stay here at IIT kharagpur. every professor takes 3 hrs per week We can contact them through gmail, phone call And can meet them They are not too friendly but spent good time with us

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
