Remarks :

The biggest positive of this college is that it is located in the centre of Trivandrum. It is the most easily accessible engineering college in Trivandrum. Sutiable for day scholars. Limited area of the college has reduced few essentials.

Placement Experience :

The college has assisted students for placement drives. Jobs are usually in the IT companies. They conduct guidence course. It is difficult for mechanical or electrical students to obtain jobs in their core field.

College Events :

Various events are conducted in the college. Onam, college day, arts day and sports day are conducted properly. The college conducts an intercollegiate fest NABHAS. Various organisations like NSS and IEDC also conduct events.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee is feasible. The fees for a semester is ?25000(chance to change). Students with high entrance score and 12 th marks are given scholarship. The fees collected is as per government norms. I don't think it is expensive. The college collects the same fees as other colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Almost all government scholarship are processed in the college. Loans are also provided to students. Special scholarship are provided for SIUC students. Fee reduction for students scoring high entrance rank.

Campus Life :

All the departments have a well equipped lab. There are various extracurricular activities in the college. The college has a volleyball court. The college participates in university tournament like cricket, football and others.

Alumni/Alumna :

The college has an alumini network. Few students have started their own companies and they come to take class. The network is really not much active. There are a few who help the IEDC department of our college.

Admission :

The basic requirement is to qualify for kerala engineering entrance exam. The Registration usually happens in the month of February. We need to score a minimum marks for various papers to qualify the exam. After taking the 12 th mark and entrance score the rank list is published. After that you will have to carefully select the option for the college and take the admission in the college. For those who haven't written the entrance could apply through NRI quota.

Faculty :

The college has an excellent faculty.They have the keen interest in helping students. Required study materials are provided and are taught very well. The students are prepared properly for their exam.

My college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

A better place for a better carrier

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
