What Students Say

Likes

The campus is green and clean, crowd is also good.
The teachers are helpful and well-educated.
The effective learning depends upon the student.

Dislikes

The management of the college is way too professional.
All the management teachers treat you as a person they want to show their power to.
The distance of the college and main city is about 7 KMs.

Course Curriculum Overview

The exams and the difficulty level is also well decided with up to date cirriculam. The area for improvement should be the emphasis on the overall knowledge and the exact information provided. Real-world applications are also used.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1600000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees and other expenses are to be totaled at 1600000. This expense include the hostel and mess fees or any outer expense that is done. The scholarships are also provided after a test and maximum scholarship offered is around 90%.

Campus Life

Overall experience and college life is good as you may find good people over there and most of the crowd is well-educated with a sense of civic responsibilites. The clubs that were there were more than clubs as many cultural events are organised by them only.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel accomodation is also good as the rooms provided are good and the food in the mess is also okay-okay, The hostel offers many ammenities gym and mess with Wi-Fi and study rooms that are meant for the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Admission

The other colleges were LPU and other private universities I wanted to attend because my available options were limited, as I did not score enough marks to get into any good college. Admission is easy process with CUET.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is good and around 1 for 30. The teachers are also well-qualified, some are not and that is why the face of many teachers are not well-recognised. The cirriculam is well maintained and gets updated frequently.

Night Life

The night life is also okay as many of the cafes are operated with best chefs and the food is also okay. The fest is also good and the people over the fests are also good. Gym and other facilities are also good.

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
