Remarks :

The postive about the college is its versatility in culture. There are people form all over India and foreign countries that you get know and be friends with. The negative is sometimes regarding the examination cell which doesn't provide information quite in time.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is quite on par with standards and the exam structure is also quite good. The curriculum is followed strictly by the faculty and the exams also have strict policies with quite tough question paper.

Placement Experience :

As per my knowledge, the job and placement opportunities are really good if you are a hard working student and have the ambition. As I am in the 4th sem, I haven't got any internship from the college.

College Events :

The college has so many events including the annual cultural and sports fest known as amiohoria, a huge No of students from different college participate throughout and also get to experience music events by celebrities. There is also fresher's celebration event every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The free structure is not really feasible. It's expensive compared to other colleges or universities but the facilities are good as well. The cost of my course is around a sum of 7.8 lacs in four years.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I know of a scholarship that the college's provide to students getting more than 95% marks in boards which makes their fees zero for the next sem and can continue to avail it if they are amongst the top 5% positions in the class.

Campus Life :

The college is good in extracurriculars too. there used to be a basketball court, Lawn Tennis court and a Futsal court and badminton court. But all are diminished as right now an unibody sport's complex is being built.

Alumni/Alumna :

The senior students are really helpful and are very friendly. They treat juniors like younger brothers and sisters. Seniors are helpful in studies, sports, and also other activities. It's great to know the seniors.

Admission :

First I had to fill a form for the Amity JEE and I received the date of exam by email. Then I appeared for the exam. After I passed the exam, I sat for a personal interview on the basis of which I was selected.

Faculty :

The faculty is really experienced. It is true not all the facilities are at the level that you would expect them to be but some of them are so good that they guide you and help you in every way possible.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
