Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to do something in the field of imports and exports and International Business was the right course for me as we get to learn how the international markets and trades work and the curriculum is nice which prepares me for a real approach to the market
Internships Opportunities
The college offers tons of internship opportunities for students based on thier expertise and also the workrate of the students and thier academics, some internships are just experience and certificate based whereas some provide minimal stipend to the students.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible to start with the internships from around 4th semesters and the actual placements for the job are after the completion of the course. The companies like Delloite, Jp Morgan, IKEA, etc have made visits. The highest package offered for BBA was 11LPA and the average being around 5-7 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees which I paid was 3 lakhs rupees per year and it's a 3 year course and other charges like form filling etc were included but it has a very nominal amount around 1.5-2k rupees and they have their own entrance in which we must pass the eligibility criteria and i do not have any information about the fees of other batchmates but almost everyone paid the same amount of fees. College does offer scholarships which are sports and merit based and it waivers off the fees with the highest being 50%
Campus Life
The campus life here is the best and certainly the best in pune because of the huge campus the Uni has. There are fests literally every months and also the other facilities like the projectors, smart boards etc make it easy to learn. The sports facilities are top notch which helps us to also focus on sports and other things as well. There are different forums and different student clubs as well which indulges students in other activities as well.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel which I opted for is called as Popcorn Stay which is near vanaz metro station and 10 minutes away from the college. The room has an Ac, Bed, study table, personal wardrobe, attached washroom/bathroom, almirah, etc. It's a bit overpriced but the facilities like shuttle service, 4 time meals, etc and the easy registration process justifies the price. The quality and hygiene of the meal is top notch and overall a great experience
Admission
I applied to a lot of colleges like NMIMS, CHRIST, SYMBIOSIS, IIM INDORE etc...in some colleges I didnt meet the eligibility criteria and in some the fees were too high leading me to choose MIT WPU as the best option as it fit all my requirements I was looking for
Faculty
Faculties in the university are pretty decent and some being so much exceptional in thier way if teaching such as introducing skill based learning and a practical approach which makes it fun to learn while some of the faculties are unnecessarily strict towards the students when not required but thats fine and normal. The difficulty levels of the exams are pretty moderate.
Night Life
There are 100s of cafes, hotels, etc around the college which are easily accessible all day for everyone. Spots like Durga Cafe, Lassi Wassi, Shawarmaji etc are the ones who offer the best quality food in a reasonable rate. The locality is safe for everyone in the night as it is a well guarded area . A gym would be better.
