Course Curriculum Overview
I think the course curriculum mainly focuses on theoretical learning while not giving importance to practical learning. The course curriculum fails to provide the students with real world insights and how the corporate world works.
Internships Opportunities
There were many internship opportunities provided by the college . But I went for a marketing and hr internship in the company called 'The Leading Solutions' since that was the company and domain i was interested in. The internship was for 2 months.
Placement Experience
There are quite few placement opportunities provided by the college but most of them are for sales or operations positions. At the sixth semester students are eligible for the Campus placements. BBA students gets an average package of 3.5 - 4 lakhs. My plan after completing BBA is to start my MBA journey. Currently preparing for my CAT Exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees I paid for bachelor of business administration (2022-2025) was 420000. In the first year, for reserving the seat i paid 40000 and at the time of admission 72400. In second year 97400 and in third year it increased a bit. Library charges were paid at the beginning of every even semester. There were scholarships for SC and ST starting from 5000 to more depending on merit.
Campus Life
There are dance, music, drama, sports and literary clubs. Gyan Manthan is the fest organised by IIMT students of other institutes of our University are invited and competitions among inter institutes are held. Most of the required books and journals are available in the library and if you want something specific you can ask the teachers to apply for that specific book.
Hostel Facilities
hostel facilities aren't provided by the college. Students have to rent private PG ,rooms or flats for accommodation purposes. The area around the college is quite high end and expensive for a student.
Admission
I applied to Delhi University as well as few other colleges of IP University. I even got into Delhi Institute of advanced studies (IP University) but I ended up choosing IIMT because of their location as it was closer to my house. The admission process was quite smooth with IIMT.
Faculty
There are different set faculty members for each department of IIMT . The faculty of BBA consists of 10-15 members for morning and evening batch. The faculty members are really approachable and have friendly and sometimes strict relationships with the students. Every faculty member had a different approach towards teaching the class but they were unique in their own ways. There are internal exams and sometimes a class test before externals. Only few of the students fail to clear the exams. The curriculum mainly focuses on theoretical learning.
Interview Experience
there wasn't any Group Discussion or any interview that took place during the admission process. But a written test was taken by the IP University. The test is taken online. Based on the marks obtained students are given ranks which determine if they are appropriate for to colleges.
Night Life
My hangout spot would be the canteen or the basketball court area. After classes few students used to go the library but my friends preferred the canteen because at that time we get meet our friends from other departments. There aren't hostel services provided at IIMT. The locality is really safe. Outside college meltado or bakebook would be the hangout spot.
