Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the diploma in Computer Engineering at Central Polytechnic College primarily because of its government recognition curriculum affordable the structure and its emphasis on core technical subjects that promised a strong foundation in computing the syllabus outlined subject such as C programming data structure operations system microprocessor and networking which appealed to me as essential pillars of computer science these subjects played a key role in my decision to talk up the course as I believed they would prepare me well for both industry job and lateral entry into engineering degrees
Fees and Financial Aid
• My totally course fee - 17,000 for ( 3 Years ) • My Category ( BC ) allows to benefit from both government and private scholarships • Fee structure has remained stable in 2022 for regular ( non - management ) students • SC/ST Students pay nearly nothing due to full government support
Campus Life
My overall experience with campus life at Central Polytechnic College Tharamani has been a balanced mix of academic occasionally extra curricular engagement and exposure to a disciplined environment as a students are of the computer engineering department I found the campus to be peaceful well located and supportive for students coming from different backgrounds especially those who like me benefited from government or private scholarships

Faculty
During my time at Central Polytechnic College Tharamani Chennai where I pursued a diploma in Computer Engineering from 2022 to 2025 I had mixed but mostly positive experience with the faculty curriculum and exams system faculty to students it radio in our department was around 1:20 which made it possible for most students to interact directly with teachers and receive personal attention the majority of staff were appropriately especially during lab sessions and projects work we were able to clear doubt seek academic helps and even request guidance related to internship or personal career goals
Night Life
Since Central Polytechnic College is a government institution the atmosphere on campus is mostly academic and nightlife within campus itself is very limited the college functions strictly during daytime hours typically from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM and all academic blocks library and labs are closed after that library closes around 4:00 PM and computer labs are not accessible beyond class hours there's no gym facilities on campus and the cafeteria shut down 5:00 PM So students usually head out if they want to grab snacks or hang out after college
