What Students Say
Likes
- The location is very commute friendly. Convenient to get to using Delhi Metro and Rapid Metro.
- Not a very large class strength meant each student got good and sufficient help from the faculty.
- I enjoyed playing Table Tennis and a few other indoor games in the game room.
Dislikes
- As I did a BA in Journalism course, I felt that the campus did not have the best resources available for the same.
Course Curriculum Overview
Modules such as Photography, Filmmaking, and Fiction Writing highly influenced me to choose BJMC as they interest me to a great degree. Exams were held i the middle and y the end of each semester. In many subjects, there were assignments insted of written exams.
Internships Opportunities
As a part of one of my modules in the 2nd or 3rd semester, we were supposed to do an internship. Through this, I was offered an internship from Celebmantra, a bollywood and TV focused entertainment portal where my role was that of a social media manager assistant. However, this internship was unpaid.
Fees and Financial Aid
While I was studying at IILM University, the tuition fee was paid in six intervals, once every semester for a total of six semesters. The fee breakdown as as follows: At the time of admission - 90000 Jul 15, 2019 - 105000 Jan 15, 2020 - 105000 Aug 1, 2020 - 150000 Jan 15, 2021 - 150000 Aug 5, 2021- 150000 Jan 15, 2022 - 150000 I think scholarships are available, but I do not know further details about them.
Campus Life
Some of the festivals that were celebrated every year were Holi, Diwali and Dussehra. The college also used to hold Dandiya Nights. All classooms were equipped with projectors and most had computers with webcams, so as to let some studentsjoin the classes online. There is a basketball court, badminton net, and table tennis.
Admission
The only other college I applied to was Bennett University, but chose not to enrol their as it was too far from my home. While Benett University seemed like a better option for my choice of course, the distance factor did not seem worth it for me back then.
Faculty
As previosuly stated, there were not toomany students in my course and hence, the facultyto student ratio was good, with all students getting individual attention when it was required. Some of the professors I liked were Dr. Divya Bhatnagar, Dr. Radhika Madan, Ms. Aditi Gupta, and Ms. Lydia Jose. They had a more easy going approach with the students and hence it was fun learning in their classes. I would rate the dificulty of exams to be medium, but they may vary from subject to subject. I persoally found the inclusion of subjects like Business and Economics irrelevant to my course, though I believe they are not icluded anymore.
Night Life
The college cafeteria was good, and has to be said, was the most common hangout spot for students. It had multiple options to choose from. The campus would close at around 5, although the cafeteria till functioned until dinner for the hostel students. I did not live in the hostel and hence cannot comment on the night life at the college.
