What Students Say

Likes

Our course is advanced and many foreign universities curriculum have been included in ours.
Best companies comes to Chandigarh University for placements.
Because here are students from various other universities, one can get to know many different cultures.

Dislikes

Definitely the exams schedule as they are stretched till June end.

Course Curriculum Overview

Engineering is not a boys thing anymore as CSE has now nearly 30-40% girls and because I chose CSE my parents allowed me to do engineering. So this course was selected as I also wanted to be an engineer in this modern world.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 232000 per year

Placement Experience

Microsoft, Cummins India and almost every tech management knows what Chandigarh University students brings to the table. Hence, it's not just about packages of placements but students get tk work in the dream companies that they have desired for.

Fees and Financial Aid

Chandigarh University in Chandigarh is arguably one of the best private universities in Punjab. The fees still is quite reasonable as when I compare it with peers like Thapar, and LPU we are less as our fees is just 1.16 lakhs a semester.

Campus Life

At Chandigarh University CU festival which is our prime cultural fest is organized in April every year and this year also like everytime else was a treat. Sports are like a bigger or at par thing with studies and therefore we have proper play courts and ground and coaching staff of the same is also provided by the university.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are air-conditioned and non AC rooms options are also available. Minimum of 2 seater rooms are there as single rooms are not provided to students. Mess also there are quite a few to choose from. Food is not exceptional but one can enjoy varities for sure.

Hostel Fee: INR 130000 per year

Admission

Chandigarh University has its own entrance test and on that score the admission are provided. Also, scholarships are provided on scores soaring a certain barrier. Besides that JEE mains and other scores students are also welcomed but not with very lower ranks.

Faculty

At Chandigarh University there's a round of process that happens for finalizing faculties. So, now one can understand the kind dof hardwork that the management has put forward has paid dividends too. They are best of the best and has been kind with every individual too.

Night Life

Zirakpur is close to our campus and there we have malls and probably every desired food joint we have. Hostel timings are very very strict indeed as by 8 pm we have to be inside the campus. Our campus have gyms, yoga and convention centres wo for those things we don't have to go out.

There are few lack of infrastructure issue on labs
There are some issues I saw with hostel rooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
