Course Curriculum Overview

5

We don't only get to learn about our core subjects but also due to NEP we are getting exposed to new interesting subjects which runs parallel to our main course like skill enhancement course etc. Sometimes it might feel like it's too much but it is very helpful

Internships Opportunities

3

I have no idea about this. I deeply apologize for this. But as much as I am aware, the college and the placement cell really try their level best in collaborating with the best of companies and hope to get selected as interns.

Placement Experience

5

I'm a freshmen so I'm not really sure about placements and how it works. And as far as I can remember, the placements take place mostly for the students of commerce background. I don't think there's no such internship provided for non commerce students. I have very little idea about placements as I've mentioned before but some companies do provide placements like zomat, zudio, stanza living etc. The college placement cell is quite active and my friends try to always take part in it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees varies on the course one takes up and also from the category that a person belongs to. After totalling everything it comes upto 19000 for political science Hons. The college also provides scholarship to students belonging to the NORTHEAST, J&K students and many other scholarships are being given out to the rest of the students.

Campus Life

5

The college crowd is very interesting. I got to meet all sorts of people considering that it's just my first year in college and I look forward to meet more nee people indeed. I'm having a pretty good experience with the college itself. I try to attend seminars conducted by our course society of political science. They host very informative seminars and they also invite ias officers and army officers and we all try having interactive sessions with them.

Admission

I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. My first priority was obviously a north campus college such as hindu college, kirori mal, hansraj and likewise. Then I proceeded to add the rest of the topmost colleges that came under south campus. I somehow got the chance to give it a try for JMC too as it also provides 50% of its seats to christian minorties but I wasn't really looking forward to get into an all girls college for some reason, so I left it then and there.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are from different parts of India. They're all good at whatever they do. May it be extra curricular or even teaching in class. They all have wordly experience and it influences us too. Exams are conducted once a year then the final happens.

Night Life

5

The college area is typically filled with chaos and students from different colleges meeting up or doing some activities or the other. It's a sure thing that the area is never really empty and quite. Outside the college there are stalls of cola, juice, icecream and much more and if we go a bit further there's satya niketan, the hub for all south campus students if not mistaken. There are so many things to try out. There's Wendy's, pizza hut, ice cream parlour and even pool to play. The best time to hangout and chill is at night. The place really lights up with girls and boys roaming around, having food, playing music and just all sort of things. Like I said earlier, not everyone is same. You'll see people of different age groups and of different type, it depends on yourself on how you blend in with the people over there. Some places that I truly love in satya niketan would be high on burgers which is a restaurant that's serves really good corndog super cheesy and very affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
