Remarks :
The only negative thing about the college is about fee submission. If a student fails to submit his fee on time , no extension is granted rather late fee fine is imposed. Also if not paid before exams, the student is barred to sit in the exams.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college is based on course and curricular as prescribed by Punjab Technical University , Jalandhar. Like every other top institute, this college offers all possible covergae on courses and practical experience. Also, the exam structure goes as semester system (half yearly) with 3 sessional test in each semester. 30percent of the seesional tests are added to the internal marks in every subject making it mandatory for students to attend and perform good in these tests so as to have goog grades in finals.
Placement Experience :
This institute is less in placement and internship providing. They only place students in some local industry in Punjab and Chandigarh. However they organise job fairs for others colleges as well. Placement is good for diploma students but not good for B.tech Students.
College Events :
First and foremost is Freshers Party in August for the freshers who are welcomed and seeded to the environment , fellow students and introduced to everyone. Followed by convocation for passed out seniours in around octoberr every year. Annual function is celebrated in January every year organised by college . Students are encouraged to participate in them. Also students are responding to organise Lohri celebration, Saraswati Pooja , and farewell party . Along side these. Sports week is celebrated for nad by the students and management in March every year. Students participate and learn under guidance of senior.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
This college has an expensive fee structure. Per semester fees for the most expensive course (Mechanical Engineering) is around 60,000 per semester and ?1,20,000/- per year . Hostel charges are fixed i.e. ?65,000/- per year including all facilities , WiFi, food, a/c rooms etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College doesnt provide any scholarship but helps students file scholarship forma with their respective state govts. Loan facility is available with college and its banking partners I.e. Indian overseas Bank.
Campus Life :
We have state of art labs for mechanical engineering and CS / IT labs in the college. The are best of kind . Workshop is open 24*7 for students to perform / research / make anything to improve their knowledge and capabilities. Sports is not a priority still we celebrate sports week every year in college . College campus have an outdoor basketball court, cricket field, football field and indoor complex for badminton and tennis. Total are of college is around 85 acres.
Hostel Facilities :
I remained outside hostel since I had a known person residing near by college . But with the experience of those who used to reside in hostel , I cn tell that it is nice and comfortable to live in . Food served is quality and cleanliness of rooms, washrooms , beds and sheets are very good and very well maintained.
Alumni/Alumna :
The best part about this college is seniors and the no ragging policy. Seniors are more helpful then faculties here. This has been a culture which passed since generations here and the management incourages it more by activities which involves seniours and juniors.
Admission :
I took admission in this college based on AIEEE score. I applied by filling the form of this institute through the website (offline also available at college) followed by merit list and interview at college.
Faculty :
Well experienced faculties are present at college. Dean Dr. V.P. Batra is an economist and IT professional. Mechanical department H.O.D Dr. Beant Singh , doctrate in mechanical engineering is a good and well experienced faculty. Along side various PhD faculties who supervise students with research level study, college is having a number of top graduate school faculty and guest faculty from IIT Bombay for all round development of students. Female faculties are in majority in this institute.
