What Students Say
Likes
- College is autonomous so you they conduct exams according to them which is a good thing
- There are no subjects like chemistry, mechanical etc unlike other aktu colleges
Dislikes
- College campus is too small as it is divided into three campuses - one for first year, second for second year onwards
- There's no college life in this college like there are no good fests, hardly there is any fest
- Also there's no AC in the college which makes it even worse, the fans work like as if they are not working at all,
Course Curriculum Overview
They should be more focused on practical knowledge then theoretical. They should teach maths by writing on their own on the board instead of teaching it through ppts, i mean who teaches maths through ppts, it just makes understanding maths more difficult And they should teach programming languages in regular basis instead of in the workshops they provide which turns out to be of no use .
Placement Experience
The highest package offered here was 54 lpa by Microsoft The average package is around 5-6 lpa Almost 70% students get placed Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, Capgemini, and Infosys are among the top recruiters. I will most probably try to get into a good company or maybe opt for masters in other college
Fees and Financial Aid
In the first year the fees for computer science is 1,80,000 which decreases to 1,50,000 from second year onwards. There's a twinning program they've started from 2024 which costs around 2,30,00. They also provide up scholarship and some relaxation tution fee for sc st candidates . Also if you take admission through jee mains scores, you can get some part of the few waived.
Campus Life
They don't really focus on other things than academics They do have annual technical fest which is pretty decent but again the students if first year are not allowed to attend any fest whether tech fest or cultural fest The campus is small so they don't really have extracurricular activities There are many clubs for different categories but again first year student are not allowed to go out of campus so only a few get itno these clubs
Admission
I think I chose this college because it was autonomous, which is a good thing although I was getting admission into other aktu colleges, but I took admission in niet as it is autonomous and I heard about good college placements here. The admission process is simple you can get here through direct admission or by aktu counseling and also by management quota. For cse core you need to have 90%+ in your 12th boards other branches vary according to the marks, in other competitive exams like JEE you need to have a decent rank.
Faculty
The faculty in this college are not very good, except for a few, mostly don't have deep knowledge of their subjects. Only a few of them teach well. Talking about the behaviour towards students if faculty, some teachers are really good and approachable but some are very harsh towards the students; they don't even talk properly to the students, beat up students The Dean of the first year is very rude and immoral; he lacks basic decency and doesn't know how to talk to students. He doesn't even lets students go on a half-day leave even if there's emergency. There are three sessionals and then one end sem exam. The exams are moderate in difficulty. A few only fail to clear. The course curriculum can be improved, they should teach programming languages in a regular basis instead of doing workshops.
Interview Experience
There was no such written test admission was merit-based The admission was based on 12th marks JEE mains is also considered for admission Also, UPCET is considered for admission No other interwiew was taken
Night Life
There's no library in first year where you can sit and study if you want to use library you will have to go to old campus. The cafeteria in old campus is total Shit there's no clean table or clean spot around the cafeteria where you can eat food There's no Hangout spot as such as I told that the campus is too small for that
