My college is away from main town so there is not much disturbances
College own good quality infrastructure and facilities
Our teachers are very good and young with good teaching skill

Not much practical knowledge is given at our college
College campus is small and few 1 or two buildings are there

Course Curriculum Overview

1. Horticulture course have great scope in future 2. Teach us some practical skills like cutting , pruning etc 3. Teachers must focus on skill improvement and practical application not on the leactures

Class Size: 700Course Fees: INR 50000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Yearly fees - 50000 aprox for normal seat And for paid seat it's about 1.4 lack 2 . Tution fees per sem. Is 10 k for normal seat and 50 k for paid seat 3 . Scholarship is available for only toppers and category students who got good marks in 12 th 4. One time registration fee is 28 k for all students 5. Scholarship of 2k per month is given to toppers under different names

Campus Life

Overall it is good experience to study in this college There are various clubs in my college. They conduct cultural programs , fests , party and many other things Class rooms are well equiped with smart board , good sound system

Admission

This college only government horticulture college in Himachal Pradesh This university conducted its own entrance exam you have to qualify this test for normal seat and for paid seat selection criteria is 12th marks I haven't given any other exam

Faculty

1. There are about 56 teaches and about 700 student in our college 2. Dr . Kamal has very great personality and deep knowlege and teaching style 3.Dr . Vikas chand they are old and only dictate the leactures and have rude behaviour 4. Pere sem there are 10 to 11 courses and there is 8 semester in total

Night Life

Night life in campus is good but around college is not so much fun In night sports matches are organized in our college campus Library is also available (9 amto 5 pm) Campus timing is ( 8am to 7 pm ) Hostel facility in only main campus for boys and for girls there is hostel in every campus

Life in Dr. YSP University Solan

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Tit bits about the agriculture university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as my father had studied the same course and had the same profession that I'm aiming for. For improvements i would like to recommend more practicals rather than theory classes as, practical knowledge is just as important as theoretical knowledge. The frequency of exams is a problem. There is very less gap between examinations which makes it difficult to prepare for the vast subjects. Plus, the marking is strict, and the criteria to pass the exams are also complicated.

This college was my first preference because of it's reputation and populatrity in country .I chose this college because some of my friends were studying in this college and they gave me positive reviews about this college making it my preference over other college.
