Placement Experience
At Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) in Pune, students typically become eligible for campus placements starting from the fifth semester of their undergraduate programs. Companies like Tata capital, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Deloitte and many more have visited. Highest package was of Rs 7 lakhs for undergraduate and Rs 8 lakhs for postgraduate. My plans are mostly to go for higher studies as I am more pationate to gain more knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my first year I paid 87,000, for my second I'll be paying 84,000 and lastly for my third I'll pay 62,000. There are tfws category for students with weak financial background in which your tution fees will be reduced. There are category seats but they are only for students of Maharashtra not for outsiders. My batchmates who are from Maharashtra have to pay only 66,000 for their first year they have to pay less fees than the students who are from outside Maharashtra. Their is merit for students form kashmir and category seats and scholarship or financial aid only for students of Maharashtra.
Campus Life
There are many events held in college like Astitva, Anubhuti, Troika and many more. There is a vast variety of books and journals in the library. There are football, basketball, cricket, volleyball like sports and many fitness activities offered on campus. There are many like NCC, cultural, finance club, entrepreneurship development cell, sports, red cross and many more.
Admission
I am not for Maharashtra so my main motive was to take a good reputed college in Mumbai like jai hind, mithibai, NM but there cutoff was too high and cet cell reduce seats for outsider students like there was only 3 seats for jai hind so it was not possible for me to take my top three colleges in Mumbai other than these three it was not worth it for me to go to Mumbai as it's pretty far from where I live. So than I researched colleges in pune and BMCC was the college that came at the top than I researched about it and I liked it overall so at the end I took admission in it.
Faculty
The faculties are pretty good and supporting as our batches started pretty late they covered the syllabus before the exams with proper explanations. We'll be having 7 internal exams and 5 external exams. The course is relevant for us as we have our apprenticeship in the third year.
Night Life
Close to college there is fc road which is full of cafeterias and all its good to hangout with friends and chill after college. I don't stay in hostel so I don't know about it college timing is 11:30. The locality is pretty quiet because there are also other colleges near by.
Other Applied Colleges
