Course Curriculum Overview
I kind of chose the course because of its curriculum only. This course has subjects to my liking which makes college more interesting. Also as I had previously mentioned, we have a variety of subjects to deal with so it covers a lot of fields and we have electives to choose from so those subjects become our likable ones. Overall the curriculum is pretty good with some practical and theoretical applications. I think the course can be improved in ways like having more realistic approaches towards it for real-life understanding. And about the examination, there is something I dislike which is the scheduling, it's okay that we have exams every single month but mostly they are scheduled such that we have to give 10 exams in 3 days or at max 5 days with no gaps in between. It becomes extremely exhausting to study 2, 3, and at times 4 subjects a day without any break. I wish they could improve this a bit.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't yet opted for any internship so I do not know but the college has a Training and placement cell which helps students to get internships in various areas. Other internship providers also promote their services through fests and clubs so they can be contacted too.
Placement Experience
I haven't heard much about this from my seniors but the college does provide good placements with an average package of around 600000 INR and the highest package as far as I know was 1400000 INR. So one can consider this a good placement for a bachelor's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't have much idea about this but the fee is around 50000 INR and I guess there are some scholarship programs depending on which board you have studied from. The college provides decent placements with an average package of around 600000 INR.
Campus Life
Campus life is good, it's comfortable and equipped with nice infrastructure. There are a lot of committees and clubs and fests that one can be a part of and enjoy during the fest days. And even a normal student who isn't participating in any fest or committee service can absolutely enjoy being a part of the events they hold. It's a different vibe all along during those days. The college offers co-curricular in the form of a whole subject, we can choose according to our choices as music, dance, drama, sports, yoga, and NSS from the 2nd semester.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't provide any hostel facility but I think there's an SVKM hostel bit I wasn't able to connect with them unfortunately so I can't say anything about it. There are various other hostels and PGs around college, which could be on the expensive side but one can definitely find some good affordable ones in Andheri, Santacruz, or nearby areas as found convenient.
Admission
So I gave CUET which is the Common University Entrance Test for NM with equal weightage to the board examination. The admission process was completely online, being an outstation student it was quite convenient for me. And considering the cut-off, I'm not very sure but it must've been above 95 percentile. The admission forms that are to be filled are the MU form available on the MU website, and then NM course form, which the college will provide after you're selected for the course.
Faculty
So normally we have about ten subjects and a similar no. of faculty pr more because of elective subjects and because we have a good number of faculty members, there is no scene of boredom in the classes. We always have different subjects to prepare for every single day. But having many subjects does make it difficult to cope with everything. Some professors have excellent ways of teaching while some do make us get bored in the lectures but yes all of them are readily available whenever require any help from them.
