Course Curriculum Overview

2

As it was the course and curriculum designed by government so course and curriculum was good areas of improvement should be infrastructure and lab practical methods should be improved specially for vocab vocational courses

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees was 7000 early fees was 14000 mid semester fees was 700 semester fees was 1500 exam fees which are excluded from the semester fees no lab fee was there. However facility was not at all good

Campus Life

2

There was no great any such festival celebrated in the college except for Saraswati Puja and national festivals library was not at all approachable they every time ask for library cards in books are not available in the library faculties are very rude only NCC was there in the name of extract activities no sports nothing was there

Admission

As this was the government college so I preferred it over other private colleges of Jamshedpur I did not get rejected from any college I also completed my 12th from the same college there was no great procedure for admission they select the student based on merit and marks scored in 12th

Faculty

2

Faculty to student ratio was 1:50 the faculties were not at all approachable faculties name should not be mention exams were moderate level if we can study as the classes were not at all of use they use to teach nothing in the classes

Night Life

2

No night life was around the college as they did not allowed student to go out of the college after the shift timing however Jamshedpur is the great City if you leave outside if you are not leaving in the college hostel

Bokaro Steel City College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Physics)
Reviewed on Jul 16, 2021(Enrolled 2019)

Course Curriculum Overview:

From the beginning of my 11th and 12th standard I'm very fond of Physics and mathematics that's why I choose to persue honours in physics and also there are more opportunities and jobs after bsc in physics compared to other streams. In bokaro steel city college the faculty: student ratio is not that great(1 per 250 students) as it is managed by state government. The qualification of teachers is above average (Almost every teacher has a P.hd) but the quality of teaching is not that great. Teachers often miss there classes and there way of teaching is very boring. On usual exams are taken in a interval of 6 to 8 months. But due to covid situation the exams got very much delayed l mean upto 10 to 12months. If you can complete the syllabus just by having few glances of the topics and follow the previous year question its quite easy to pass the examination by securing good marks. But most of the students always fail (almost 50% every semester).

Remarks:

In reality, this college has more negative remarks than positive. Some good part is that it has some great teachers. Their best course is B.Com for which it is famous. They organise some sports tournament that is appreciable. Overall good college to complete your degree and make Foundation.
