What Students Say
Likes
- There is no categories discrimination and no first priority in any means.
- Every subject provides good laboratory experiences
- I like vast variety of courses to choose from
Dislikes
- Our classes will be held in hospitals so it's very difficult to accommodate all the students in that small seminar room in the lab
- They give the mbbs students better treatment than allied health students
- More than the professors, PhD scholar has a bit of attitude and audacity
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't choose this subject, it was just my father's approach and I just agreed. Th course was really difficult to understand for me in the beginning like I took 2 whole years to completely get through to understand. It's very recent course and it has still not been completely researched. The internals exam needs to have a bit of gap in between them as soon as the first internals finishes the second one arrives within one month
Internships Opportunities
Our course doesn't have internship option because we have projects in the final year. The other courses will do internship in the hospital of the college itself and they might get placed there or any other hospitals of there choice. But we need to get our master's to have a paying job.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm a student of JSS AHER, the first year fees was about 1.2lakhs but I'm in my third year now and we pay about 1.12 lakhs, which is a bit lower than what we paid in first year and apart from the tution expenses we pay for examination fees, different for core subjects and subsidry subjects. But as the JSS academies doesn't follow category rules and regulations in the education system we get no aid or concetion in the fee structure. We all me and my classmates who belong to other category also pays the same fees .
Campus Life
The campus is vast there are alot of people from different courses it's easy to make friends if you have good communication skills but don't have it and they have good laboratory set ups to understand the topics a little bit better. Each courses in the sense the mbbs students get there own fests and dental students gets there own fest and we allied health science students get our own fest but the fest that was for mbbs students have sponsors, a whole cafe, they food and overall there fest is alot more extravegent than ours in our fest we ourselves put money and decorate the camps and the auditorium. The library is quite good the only space I like in the whole campus is the library they have every book you want for medical students.
Admission
I applied to ATME college and SJCE college. ATME was too far from where I stay and SJCE has fees which was higher. I first wanted to go to BE but choose this instead and the process of admission was just, we needed to apply for what courses we needed before all the seats ran out and after the results gets announced we'll get our admission there and we need to pay advance fees to book the seat
Faculty
Few faculties are approachable and has good knowledge of the course but the one who are doing PhD in the same academy just picks up fight and has no filters they just point out if you don't do good even if you say there's something going on in my life they won't understand. There will be two internals per semester and an annual exam. We have 5 subjects overall, of which 3 are core subjects and 2 are subsidiary subjects. The subsidiary exams comes a bit early than the main examination.
Night Life
I don't live around the campus my home is a bit far and I travel from home. So the only the I have night life around the campus is during fests and during practices. The campus is good and the cafeteria doesn't have that big space to accommodate all the students of different couses so that's a con and the play ground is a bit good and I liked the basketball court. We usually go to loyal world or the Big chicken which is located right opposite to our college. The college surroundings have really good locality and food spots
Other Applied Colleges
JSS Science and Technology University -[JSSSTU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)
