Remarks :
Good things about college are faculty support extracurricular activities available, infrastructure and computer labs. Bad things can be said strict management less senior-junior interactions not very good library facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is designed to make industry ready professionals more than research-driven. College hours are 8 hours a day with weekends off similar to corporate working hours. Prior to university examination every semester two midterms exams and one pre-university exam have to be given, which makes major of internal marks for the semester. For research, the scope is not much but college provides you help for defense exam preparation competitive exam preparation and entrepreneurship.
Placement Experience :
Placement is Good in numbers but IT companies hire the maximum number of students. Almost 100% of placement is achieved every year. For Day-1 Infosys comes for recruitment then Day-2 is being done by either Tech-Mahindra or Capgemini. Core companies like IOAGL, VA-Tech wabag, UNO Munda, Verroc, USHA armor, Prism cement, and Godrej come for recruitment but the number of candidates hired is very less.
College Events :
Two Major events are there Ignitia, sports meet, and Tech-EXPO. Ignitia is the two-day techno-cultural fest in which more than 60 events are being organized by departments and college clubs. The event starts with DJ night and rock band performance and ends with celebrity night. In sports meet, inter-college department sports competition is being held. In tech-expo technical models being manufactured by students are examined winners of this are awarded a cash price and medal.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
For first-year engineering students, the academic fee is 1.6 lakhs and the hostel fee including mess is 88k. From the second year onwards academic fee reduces to 1.5Lakh while the hostel fee remains the same. For courses like BBA and BCA academic fees is around 60k.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I got the scholarship in all four years of my college but scholarship is not being provided from the college side you have to fill scholarship form and details as described by UP state government. Incase of genera category student scholarship obtained for hostlers is around 64k and non-hostlers are around 55k. For SC/ST students the amount given for scholarship is about 85k. If your parent is a government emoloyee you can not get a scholarship.
Campus Life :
For Extracurricular activities, there are various clubs and departmental events done. Department appoints every year new departmental head from students, who are responsible to conduct events related to his department is campus like Electronic and communication department head will be organizing robotics competition. For debate, dance, singing, singing, creative designing, poetries, and sports separate clubs are there.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is no specified alumni or senior network. In fact, even being in college senior-junior contact and interaction is really less.
Admission :
My admission in PSIT was a management quota admission for which college itself conducts an aptitude test which is mandatory to clear failing in this will not allow the aspirant to be a part of the institution. For a management seat, you have to be an early bird. After the second week of June college does not take management quota admission. Otherway to get admitted is via UPSEE counseling. If you have a general rank under 10000 you are likely to get admitted.
Faculty :
Assessment to faculty is really easy in PSIT you can assess any faculty in college hours. Most of them provide you the help and guidance which you seek almost every time you approach. College clubs are being mentored by faculties so you can also seek their support via clubs.
