Likes

Its v peaceful. I thought girls college might have a lot of drama but its actually opp
College is v serious about attendance. That means you will have to go daily
Campus is good in terms of infra. There is a massive aports ground as well

Dislikes

In timetable there are gaps for example you have class from 1-2 then its from 4-5 sonit gets really annoying
Classrooms are tiny compared to the batchsize so if youre late you might have to bring chairs from other rooms or even sit in the corridor
Teachers are v strict about attendace. Even if you give a legit readon for example preparing fir ca etc. they just wont comsider

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is nice in first sem you get to learn tally. Its a accounting computer aoftware its actually very usefull in the future. Even the subjects are fine. Syll feels to much at times. There are like fatt books for ever sem and its hard to complete any in each sem.

Class Size: 92Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

32k is to paid anually. If youre below poverty line, you might get some fee refunded in the first year. But the fee of bcom hons at ipcw is 32,000 per anumn. Other then this there is examination fee that ranges from 1500-2000 that you have to pay for giving exams in du. It is to paid every sem. Only after this amount is paid youwill be issued th admit card. The amount depends upon the subject chosen as sec vac or gec varying upon if they are theoritical subjects or practical

Campus Life

Shit shit shit. Idk other courses or batches but my batch in particular was not good at all in terms of the quality of the students. Either they got in through reservation or they are just v nerds. I barely met 5 smart people in my college

Admission

As you might know we havmd to submit a oreference list in du for what college with what course will be preffered. Ipcw was my 11th preference. I sort of regret not putting my 12 preference that is arsd above it. I was 2 marks less for drc. They do not give a single damn in drc for attendance. Anyways this is what i got and i am not happy with my college at all

Faculty

In my course and sem teachers are fine in terms of their knowledge tho they are also strict with markings. You wont get free marks in internals. Teachers in vac or sec might not be as skilled in the subject but in domains they are.

Night Life

As its located on civil lines which is away from north campus and is mainly a residential area there is no concept as such of night life. If you get into that college you might be staying in areas like vishwavidyalay or gtb nagar. And again i personally have not seen a nightlife culture here

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is open learning university..they couldn't give us time.. because the class also got started 1 month before exam...and teachers had to finish...the syllabus. But they don't really care about us. And syllabus I think is okay .. in Commerce. It is updated.

Overall College life experience.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4 semester you are eligible to sit into on-campus placements i.e. after completing your second year. Companies start to arrive in final year or pre final year of you're going for 4 year degree. Big 4 companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PWC and other companies like accenture, zomato, airtel can be seen in placement season. Average package is 4-5 LPA ranging from college to college and depends individual skill set and practical experience. Highest could go upto 22LPA in our college. Half of the students gets placed during the season but not all. After competition of degree students can pursue various courses like CA, CS or praper for CAT/GMAT.

This college is not good enough for upgrading skill and knowledge.

Placement Experience:

SSNC have a placement cell which provides internship details and also shat company hiring details. 3rd and 4th semester students are eligible for internship Highest average package is approx 12 LPA and average price is approx 5LPA and actually I don't know which company give the highest and to whom.

Students get placements in the last semester before the last exams as per my knowledge the average package is 4 to 5 lpa and highest package was 15lpa . Not all the students get placed from the college only the one's with good skills and some experience about the work are chosen.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Overall college experience at IPCW

I applied through cuet only. Indraprastha College was my second preference after lady shree ram college. The department is one of the bests on Delhi university and I m quite content with the faculty here (except a few teachers). I chose this College because i searched through various websites and specially the psychology department of this college was rated good, so that's why. a good experience

The admission process for this and any other DU college is fairly simple which is to sit for the CUET examination which is an objective based paper and also to make a decent preference list to get into the desired college and course. My decision to choose Indraprastha college for women was because it provided my desired course and my marks aligned with it. I also applied to other DU colleges but am satisfied with my current position as it provides a well-structured academic base and gathers a much more decent crowd than any other DU college.
