Remarks :

IIT Kharagpur is one of the oldest IIT's. If you want to study in a college which has its own ecosystem and far away from cities then definitely go for kgp.here you will not find malls and City Life but a different natural pleasure altogether.

Placement Experience :

Yes,the college provides internship through cdc in the 3rd year of btech and 4th year of btech+mtech/msc course.placements are one of the ebet in nation with the highest package lump sum exceeding A crore.

College Events :

Illumination is one of the most celebrated event of IIT KHARAGPUR held on the say of diwali.also events like sports general championship,tech gc,socult gc are held in the campus.open IIT's and various departmental fests are also held.sf and kshitij are also held annually.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For a general category student fees is quite high i.e 1,40,000 per semesterbut for those general category students whose annual income lies below 8 lacs,can avail mcm where they get refund of tuition fees and only need to pay for the accommodation.Sc/St and pwd candidates are offered with zero tution fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

MCM Scholarship is offered to UG students ,whose family annual income lies below or equal to 8 lakhs.also student loan at 0.2% interest rate is offered by SBI iit Kharagpur branch. Different banks also offer the same interest rate.

Campus Life :

Iit Kharagpur is rich of extracurriculars.world class football grounds,Olympic level swimming pools and athletics track,badminton and courts,all are present inside the campus.gyms,different societies like TDS,tfps,encore,pravah offer extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructure is quite old and there is no second choice apart from living in the allotted hostel.mess food is not at par with standards.but hall tempo and events are much more indulging and create a feeling of hall love in every resident of hall.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Student alumni cell is one of the active body in the campus working day in and out to ensure alma mater remains connected with the institute.also IR Cell,branding and relations cell are working towards in the same direction.

Admission :

Appearing in JEE-MAINS and qualifying for jee advanced.then getting a good rank in merit list gives you an opportunity to get IIT KHARAGPUR.My CRL was 1036 in jee advanced and 1313 in jee maine with 91.2% in 12th

Faculty :

Faculty is renowned and experienced.but sometimes they are Rusty and a student can lose motivation in a boring class.reseach scholars and tas are not that experienced.overall campus is dominated by bengalies faculty.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
