Course Curriculum Overview
The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) curriculum at my college offers a solid foundation in key areas like Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Natural Language Processing. I chose this course because it focuses on industry-relevant skills, like Python programming and tools such as TensorFlow. The inclusion of AI ethics and robotics applications made it even more appealing.
Placement Experience
At Guru Nanak Institutions of Technical Campus (GNITC), students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini visit, offering roles in software development, AI/ML, and data science. The highest package offered is around 15 LPA, with the average package being 4-5 LPA. About 70-75 Percent of students get placed, especially those in computer science and AIML. After my degree, I plan to pursue a career in AI, aiming for roles like AI Engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Tuition Fee of the Institution is 210000 The Hostel Fees is 93000 For the students who are admitted by reservation, the fees are slightly lower. It's not increasing; it's the same for the next 3 years No scholarship facility in the Institution; it's only for reservation Admissions
Campus Life
Campus life at Guru Nanak Institutions of Technical Campus (GNITC) is vibrant and full of opportunities. We have annual festivals like Technozion in October and Sankranti in January, where students participate in tech and cultural events. The library has a good selection of books and journals, along with digital resources, making it easy to access study materials. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, computers, and Wi-Fi, enhancing the learning experience.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities overall are good, but we face many issues in the hostel. The staff and warden are good, but the higher authorities are not. Overall, I would say the hostel is not up to the mark. It’s better to rent a property and live outside the college
Admission
I applied to several colleges for a B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, including VNR VJIET, CBIT, and KL University. While I got offers from a few, I chose Guru Nanak Institutions of Technical Campus (GNITC) because it offered a good mix of affordability, decent facilities, and a focused AIML program. The supportive faculty and promising placement opportunities also played a big role in my decision. I couldn’t get into CBIT due to slightly lower entrance exam scores. The competition was tough, and the cutoffs were high.
Faculty
My college has a decent faculty-to-student ratio, allowing for fair opportunities to interact with professors. The faculty-student relationship is generally positive, with many professors being approachable and supportive, especially for academic queries. However, some faculty members are less interactive, making it harder to connect with them. One of the professors I admire teaches artificial intelligence.
Night Life
No nightlife is there on the campus we have to get inside our hostel at 9.30 PM only they don't allow us to go outside the hostel and after 7 PM we can't go out of the college until and unless some urgent work or medical emergency is there.
