Course Curriculum Overview

5

course cirriculum is 10/10 as students would get the theoritical as practical aspect with cias and make students aware of real time industries. This curriculam structure made me choose this course in Christ University. for example in one of the subject production and operation management they take students for industrial visit where they will show how company perform production, operation and inspection. we also have outbound training where they teach team building and make students do diffrent activities and teaches them about the leadership and strategy building. They dont have much to improve becasue they teach theoritical and practical aspects such as excel, Power Bi. According to my observations even semester such as 2nd, 4th and 6th semester is bit tough compared to odd semester. timings of the exams vary depending on the availabiliy which will be communicated to students through hall tickets and students has to bring that hall ticket in the exam. During exam time dress code still reamins the same. question paper is usually moderate to hard.

Internships Opportunities

3

there were 5 compaies which came for internship process goldman sachs , delloite , timeless beauty, zomato and other was one yoga company mainly the roles were of sales or other finance related. each company has their own creitera and rounds and they pic 5 to 7 such as resume selection (they select resume through ats friendly ai) they they go with apptitude test and then HR round. but most of the students has to find the internships therough their networks or linkedin. they encourage students to take more internship alongside the classes or take any courses. some company gives case study and they test your approach if they find it feasible then they select the students.

Placement Experience

4

Christ University has proper club called Center for placement and career guidance (CPCG). we have a placement coordinators and placemnet officers. the placement rate in christ university is quite good and they offer many training for the same such as resume building , apptitude , group disscussion, interveiw and body alnguage trIaning trainings are provoded either by other person outside the colllge or someone from the college. students become eligible to sit in college from 5th semester or third year and try not to get backlogs because many company dont take students with backlogs the companies started to come from june (2024) itself and till now (november when i am writing this) there has been 50 companies who has come for BBA students the heighest pakage till now is 22 lakhs and the average pakacge ranges between 6 to 9 lakhs. in my class by now 14 students has been placed out of 70 and still counting. however it doesnt guarantee placements and students are free to search companies and apply offiline. my plans after getting degree is to get placed and if i m not able to make it then i will go for heigher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am persuing BBA HONS (2022-2025) where the fees was 205000 yearly and it depends on the domicile and nationality my friends from karnataka pays 160000 and other freind from kuwait (NRI) pays 280000 or around 3 lakhs something. the fees also varies depending on the course. however they do give scholarships if your family os not financially stable and their is merit scholarship which i got was 1000 and they also have sports scholarship as well. they do provide information to students about state scholarship and other internationtional scholarship to help them. scholarship for financial assistance where students have to pass certain criteria to avail the scholarship, they also have installment facility if the student is not able to pay the fees at once this is only applicable if the fees is above 10000. Alumi Association Scholarship helps economically weaker students through alumini funds.

Campus Life

annual fests - genesis - fests for first years which runs for 7 days and with rigorous day an dnight event, then we have telesto - three days event for second and third years also we have inferno where college students can participate , there is case study event where only cases are asked, recently we had event organised by SDG club, we also has cultural events such as blossoms happening in december and nrita - dance event in january, magnificant event happens in december where all the choir of the campus perform, sports days which happens in december and ethenic day in september we also have colour week where whole college wears same colour for a week for eg notice will be sent that on monday wear pink so all boys and girls will wear pink on that particular day including professors and cleaning staff. similarly every department has their own events lined up such as english department has litscape and economics departmnets have econtago, etc range and accessibility of books - library is in the 6thand 7th floor of bgr campus and is opened from 8:00am to 9:00 pm. it usually has most of the books but if that particular book is not vailable in the one library they take it from other library and give it to you every thing in library is automated where you search about the book in the computer provided in the library . we also have onli christ library where password will be provided to students and they can acess to all the journals and books online. technology - most of the things in the campus is automated and students are given wifi which is regulated where students can only use the college wifi for academic purpose insta, youtube and other entertainment site is not supported by the wifi. for that students need to get their laptop configure and this wifi will only work in their laptop not in their phones. every class has the projector, speaker and charging points. students here do podcast, vlogging , trading and other such signifiant things.

Admission

I didnt apply for any other colleges, i was looking forward to christ university and was preparing for the interviews and exams however my second option was mount carmel college banglore, but i cracked christ in my first attempt so i droped alll the other options. christ interview takes place in 4 phases first round of selection happnes in march 2nd round of selections happens in april following june and july, I had solved R S aggerwal and few numericals for college level exams and got selected for personal interview, they have more weightage in personal interview their i was asked few questions 1. give your introduction 2. why do you want to get in christ 3. since i took drop after my 12th so what produtive things i did in my drop year 4. one scenario was asked where companies of two different countries collaborate and work -i gave the example of maruti suzuki and tata hitachi 5. what are your future aspirations ? for the personal interview i was given the topic to prepare for the 30 seconds and tell that should india consider neighbouring countries for trade? what is the pros and cons of it? to which my answer was no we should not rely heavily to our neighbouring country becasue at that time time by mistakenlt shooted bhramos to paskistan and srilanka was in the verge of being bankrupt also due to some controvertial statement from nepali minister the relations were not good with nepal, with china we dont have chance to trade rather they try to capture our market and make in india movement has stopped it to some extent. with these examples and refrences to general knowledge i cracked my entrance exam to christ.

Faculty

Faculty members - all the faculty location and their contact will be provided to students, faculty members are very helpful and try their best to help the students here the professors are not just only the teachers they are researchers also so the class exapliation becomes very intresting. in business and management in 1 class there is 1 professor for 70 students. there are many faculty members whom i liked the most because of their tecahing pattern and other activities which they do to make class more interactive. howvere there are some teachers who wont give you attendance even for the slightest mistakes such as coming late in class etc. Course Structure - In BBA hons there are 7 units usually the first 3 units comes in mid sem and the rest + first three unit will come in end sem. continuous internal assessment are based on the those units. all the syllabus and course plan will be provided by teachers in the begining of the session and the previous year question paper will be available in the christ university library website. question paper pattern - mostly the questions are application based and not direct question will be asked however it will be related to course plan. ther exam paper is of 50 marks with 2 hours time and the question paper has 3 sections with options, section c has no option and it is 15 marker which is mostly the game changer in the paper. we also have the rule while corrections as well that no student shoud get full marks (in theory) becuse they believe no one is perfect. so for example if in section a 5 markers I wrote nice answer heighest i will get is 4. each semester there will be 2 exams with same pattern you will get the previous year end sem papers but mid sem previuos year papers are not given in library website. mostly the questions are easy and if any student has attended the class sincerly they will manage to pass all the paper passing marks out of 50 is 20. number of students failing depends on the course and it varies .

Interview Experience

for the interview they gave me one topic on which i have to prepare in 30 seconds and give them the answer that was under personal interview before that i had apptitude test which i prepared from google and some of the you tube vedios, they had english, gk maths and logical reasoning. i prepared with some of the books which is used during cat preparion also you helps alot in these cases. for personal interview i was asked few questions 1. introduce youself? 2. why do you want to go to christ? 3. what are your future aspirations ? 4. what did you do in your drop year ? 5. can company from two diffrent countries work together give example ? for which i gave the example of maruti suzuki and tata hitachi and the terms used can be mergers, acquisitions and partnerships. 6. for topic thing i was given the topic should india do trade with its neighbouring countries? where i used all my general knowledge and gave the example for all the countries such as nepal, shrilanka , pakistan, china bangladesh etc . just be confident and during personal interview sit with formals and if possible put a tie.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, with respect to relevance, I would rate it low since most of the topics that were taught to us in these 3 years felt like an extension of the 11th &12th grade. A lot of the things we studied felt familiar since we had already studied it so we were disappointed as we thought we weren't learning anything new and growing and developing. However in the 3 year we did learn some new and interesting topics that was very refreshing.
