What Students Say

Likes

Events keep happening every week . The famous fest of the college is called sargam
The ratio of boys and girls in the college is almost equal
Good atmosphere and greenery around the college

Dislikes

The total acre of land the college is built is small
Could have at even more sports ground and facilities
Not much parking space for students who come by their own

Course Curriculum Overview

The course that I opted for is electronics and communication. In the first year the subject that is thought is same for every student. The next year the students are categorised into their respected course.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I came through Kcet exam my fees per year is 107000 and also I have to pay separate 56000 per year to the college . The extra fees that we pay is comparatively more . Management students have to pay a lot depending on their courses

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the college is actually good. There are beautiful garden . There are many cafeterias and canteen. Sports ground and indoor basketball court . There are many extra curricular activities happening around the college

Hostel Facilities

Hostel fees is more compared to other college. For first year there is just 3 sharing rooms available. Food is comparatively not bad . It is manageable . Next year onwards you can select 1 sharing or 2sharimg or 3 sharing .

Hostel Fee: INR 170000 per year

Admission

Since I had written kcet. I had put many college to the counselling. In the end new Horizon was the college that I had got . Through Kcet the admission is a lot there are many forms to be submitted and filled

Faculty

There are many faculties. The teachers are very student friendly and very supportive and intractable. They teach very well and prepare students for the exam very well . Not many students fail at the exam only very few does.

Night Life

The class are from 9 to 4 after that the students can go out campus and enjoy . The hostel students should be back at 9:30pm. Inside canoes itself there are games that could be played and many cafeteria as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

The relevance is like 5 out of 10. The topics thaught like m3,m2 are very rarely used in real world. The curriculam should be having more practical knowledge in my opinion. The teaching is fine. Internal dates should be managed well.

New Horizon basics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements since 3rd semester only if they possess extremely high talent, otherwise, most students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester of engineering. Many companies such as societe general, microland, deloitte, capgemini, keep visiting our campus on a yearly basis. Usually the packages vary from 5-20 lakhs. My plan after degree is to get placed in a good enough company that satifies my necessities

Placements are said to be pretty good here. Since it's the top college in North Karnataka many companies like Toshiba, infosys, amazon, samsung etc will be here for recruitment. Highest package is 43 lakhs per annum and average 4 to 5 lakhs per annum

Great campus life with good placement and private beach, a place like heaven for engineering

Placement Experience:

Placements here are good. From 2019-2023 there was almost 99% placement in IT department and in 2024 about 91% students were placed in IT department. Highest salary varies from 55-62 LPA, average about 24 LPA and median about 21 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, Dell etc. are major recruiters. Most of roles offered are developer. Around 30-40% students get interships.

Placement Experience:

The placement in colleges was good but the salary for the core job work was very less, maxing at 23000 at max, but the pay for other job roles was much higher, so getting a job from college was not difficult

Placement Experience:

There is desend placements through the college . companies like bosch,Tcs,nokia etc visit here and provide desend placement.Students have become eligiblr for placements and innternships form 2.5 years or 5th sem.Placement rate is very high of the college , for cse it is about 80%..i plan to get placed before getting degree.
