Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because of my interest in technology. The course here or ig in any college won't prepare you for what's out there in the corporate world because engineering is an evolving field every 6 months the technology you are currently using will be outdated so you need to keep learning and keep up with the tech world. the course curriculum should integrate more of the industry experience. the exams are held 3 times in 1 semester with moderate to hard difficulty, though the marking scheme is all on the professors they might give you marks but might not.

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fee: 1st year fee : 120750/semester 2nd year fee : 126750/semester 3rd year fee : 133000/semester 4th year fee : 138750/semester hostel fee for double room : 80000, for singe room: 87500 caution fee : 10000 fee for university uniform: 8500 other students with dissabilities and war widows and wards of army personnel get 30% concession on tuition fee the college tells you other financial aid plans too but the conditions for them are absurd like one scholarship had condition that the annual income should be below 2lakh. if you have to pay per semester around 1.2-1.4lakhs of fee how will someone with annual income of below 2lakh afford the course.

Campus Life

2

Various tech fests and functions are happening in JUIT, like Murious, Prakaram, Le Festius. The fests are not great at all the faculty won't give you attendance even while you are doing fest work which causes problems as the attendance criteria are 80%, and the fest experience is also not much great with less area on campus, no proper are for fest, even for E-sports even there is no proper wi-fi facility and need to use your own internet to play. the infrastructure of the academic block is good with classrooms having projects, whiteboards and all the needed facilities, but almost all of the rooms receive no sunlight so its cold in winter and all seats are just metal seats so it's hard to sit in winter. the college only has a good basketball, volleyball, and badminton court 1 of each so it's good but not that great.

Hostel Facilities

2

in rooms you get 1 cupboard, 1 book shelf, 1 computer table ,1 almirah and 1 hot air blower for winter(not good in heating), the mattress is also provided by the college and if its torn or anything you can get it changed tho the process is a hassle and sometimes takes time. the meal quality is good with monthly changing menu but they actualy just shuffle it up and its almost all same. the registration process is very easy they pamper you like a baby through the admission process but later for even the slightest thing its a hassel, the affordability is good.

Admission

I applied for CU, SRM Chennai etc. I gave the first round exam for SRM Chennai and also got selected for Computer Science and Engineering in Data Science with my rank around 9000-10000, but due to covid my 12th boards were late and the enterance exam was conducted in April and the boards were in May and at that time my parent said to wait till JEE Mains exam and after that, I didn't give the third round for SRM and so couldn't go there. While I was applying for other colleges too I got selected for the government colleges in Himachal but other people advised me not to go there. then I was desperate to get a college and JUIT was the first to reply back so I took admission here. JIIT Noida's male came 1 month later in October when the session had already started here so in the end I decided to stay here.

Faculty

3

The student-to-faculty ratio is considered very good. the relationship is like any other place /college/ school, if you someone they are good with you otherwise they are just normal if you are roaming around a teacher all day doing their work you will get good internals. the examination system here is different but also makes student life hectic there are exams 3 times a semester called T1, T2, T3 with each being of 15, 25, 35 marks respectively and with time limits 1 hour, 1.5 hour and 2 hours respectively. As the sem starts after one month or so its T1 then are a week for T1 its P1-practical exam1 and after 2 weeks or so of P1 it T2 then a month or less after that its P2 practical examination 2 and after a week or so its T3 and the sem ends . so it's pretty hectic just after T1 and all the assignments and projects go along after T1.

Night Life

1

there is nothing like nightlife in this college. the college is on a hilltop with not even proper shops around. there is 1 gym in each hostel but only the main gym in 1 hostel is actually good and has good equipment, not all but has most of them but they are not properly maintained so they are mostly broken. the hostel timing for first year boys is 9:30 and that of girls of all years is the same. the hostel timing for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year boys is none. the campus timing for everyone is common and is 8 pm in summers and 7:30 in winter

Students are eligible for placement from 7th semester. Some of the big tech giants visit us like google , Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Uber, Paytm, walmart, Flipkart, amazon, etc. Offers made in 2022-23 are more than 150 where company count was more than 70. Highest package is around 63 LPA (INDIA) whereas more than 1 CR (Out of India). Average package is around 33 LPA in 2022-23. Almost 80%+ students sitting in placement gets placed (according to 2022-23 data). My plan is to join tech firm either as SDE or Data Scientist.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in electrical is very practical and real-life based. in real-life applications, we have to do LAB courses and research seminars with good professors. some courses are very helpful like Electrical Machines, Digital Electronics, Analog Electronics, Electromechanics, Control Systems, Power Systems, Design Practicum, etc. We learn a lot of things from the above Courses. we have to learn that type of course which is based on electrical engineering but our college teaches us some HSS courses like English, Basic Communication skills, psychology and economics. for improvement in teaching methods colleges should take all classes in offline mode not in online mode because in it students can't understand. There are majorly two exams in our college Midsem and Endsem. endsem is more difficult compared to Midsem.
