Course Curriculum Overview

4

• I choose this course due to my interest in political science I hardly saw the curriculum at that time but I really liked the curriculum because it's started from basics of ideology and and revising the knowledge we gained in school then they started further teachings. • according to me in this world we can rationaly compare the world, state, internal politics with the help of this curriculum for better understanding we should read newspaper which will enhance our knowledge and the theory which is given in our curriculum we can see the real world and understand international and national politics with it. • According to me teacher can be more inclusive, we should break the old fashioned method of class teaching and curriculum can be revise in this sense we should also study literature and thinkers who metophorically visualise the world. • at the time of NEP frequency and timing of Exam is less and difficulty is high because we have to write 5 answer in 3 hour which is hard for students to put up so much knowledge in less time .

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee stucture of Course POL SCI. Hons. is 14k average which include admission, fest, sports, cultural events and United fresher party of college. Our Third year fees is increased to 16k which was not good for students who are coming from Rural and other states. College include scholarship scheme which is known as Star student scheme those students who are good at studies get ammounts of money and Schemes like bonafide and competition are Oftenly organised which give students chance to earn rewards and cash prizes. Exam form fees is not included in admission fees . Other course like B.com. have fee structure 15k.

Campus Life

3

• In ARSD college there is various fest, in month of November combined fresher fest Aarmbh of whole college will conducted to welcome first year student, after that various social and group have their fest under college. We also have our annual fest TIDE in month of March in which bollywood artist come in college and perform one of the best fest in college. • in liberary you will access various kind of literature , books, encylopedia and curriculum books too. News papers of all kind finance, current affairs, daily news everything you will find and magzines , journals of world which includes everything you can find. • The facilities and technology which is provided in college, you can get projector and screen in every class room, fans, lights and charging portal these basic facility you can get in every class. • Sports and extracurricular in college is amazing everything in this college is PRO active , sports which includes cricket, badminton, vollyball, football, basketball , chess everything so good, society such as dramatics , fashion, music, dance everything are top level . We also have some negative things like gym is nit functioning and equipment are poor , sports equipment are also not very good, extracurricular student face attendence issues in class and college didn't do anything for that. •There are various student welfare clubs and groups which help student in daily life and get the basic knowledge and everything .

Admission

• I applied for other colleges in North campus such as hindu, KMC and other but I got this College which is also pretty good in South campus with NIRF rank 5 this year. I didn't get the addmission in North campus because of marks my marks are 755/800 which pretty good marks but get into north campus a student need 780 above marks in general category and my course political . Is one of the most demanded course. But as a student in general category u didn't get into North campus just because of my marks. • In cuet you have to give exams after results in councelling process student will get their college according to marks and cuttoff the college. In ARSD college if you wanna get admission then you should get 770 marks from 800 to get admission in this college in general category. Admission process is very easy if you scored more than 750 you can this college which has all india NIRF ranking 5 which is pretty high.

Faculty

3

• Faculty of my Political science dept. is nice and very open minded professors with good relation with student. Student can approach them for any of their problem if a student is regular in their class and you should have good personal relationship with them. Faculty student ratio is 1:30 here as per my analysis. • I like the faculty name professor bhawna chaturvedi and professor sumit prasher bcoz they are very good at their work and they support students . In type of studies Prof. Sumit prasher will get my vote for best faculty. He is good at his work and don't care about what people and other faculty member think about him. • I.M. Jha sir of pol science dept. Bcoz his teaching is very hard to understand and he do partiality with student who are in dept. Society and other society students. And his irritated behaviour also can be a reason. • Exam is not much hard in university level if you have basic common sense and you studied any thing you can pass the exam but sometimes it's based on teacher who is checking your exam. According to me sometime curriculum is relevant but most of the time it's just a old fashioned curriculum following .

Night Life

4

• Night life will not be very happening if you don't have good group and friends with whom you can have fun. Gym is not in very good condition in our college, cafeteria is okay but sometimes it is very much, crowded, for good experience you can go to graphiti wall in our college that place is very good and Rangayan tree where dramtics student daily practice their art, library should not be the place where you can hangout with friends. • College don't have hostel and we are not allowed in college after 5 P. M. Except you are students of some society. • near college their is locality called satya niketan and satya park where you can hangout in evening with friends after college, lots of cafe and fun, there is a tapri near by bus stop you can sit with your friends there drinks tea and make lots of memories with friends because these days will not back. You can Roam near Satya niketan Or dhaula kuan but you have to check your safety by your own in night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral). My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
