Remarks :

The college is overall a decent engineering college in north India. It has a strong regional presence. The faculty is helpful and we'll be versed in their subjects. The seniors are very helpful and there is no ragging.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good but some subjects do not apply much to my branch. Their are 8 semesters and in each semester there are 2 minors and 1 major per subject. Marks in particles are also taken into consideration along with many assignments.

Placement Experience :

Placements are good for CSE and the IT branches. In other branches like Mechanical Electronics and communication, EEE and Biotechnology, if you go for consultancy companies it's good other it's an average of 6-7 lakhs p.a.

College Events :

They are many events held at UIET including many technical seminars and the various clubs organize various events throughout the year. Their annual festival GOONJ is very popular among students. Their debating club DEBSOC organizes MUN every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Total college fees for one year are 80000(1st year). The hostel costs vary from 6000 to 10000 for 6 months. The mess and canteen operate on a pay-to-eat basis. For transportation, you can use the bus or e- rickshaw.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you belong to scheduled castes, scheduled tribe or OBCs, or EWS category then you get a part of your annual fees reimbursed. You can apply for a student loan and could apply for the various scholarship scheme

Campus Life :

Labs are well equipped latest equipment for every course subject that has lab related work. The assistants in the lab are very helpful. Many extracurricular activities are conducted by many variations clubs.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel room - 4 Food - 4 The rooms are small but the facilities are decent enough. You get a common room, a reading room, and gyms, badminton and volleyball, etc. The guard is present 24*7. It's nice accommodation at this price.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

The Alumni network has been well maybe and has many times delivered lectures and seminars throughout our course. Many of them have started startups and are working in reputed companies. They are very helpful in guiding us.

Faculty :

Most of the professors know about their subjects. They are very helpful. Most all of them are Ph.D. holders. They are very supportive and will help you with your doubts and can even give you notes. The marking process in exams though varies from professor to professor.

For third semester students are eligible for campus placement. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hitachi and many more companies are visit for placement in chandigarh university. Highest package is 24 lakhs average is 6 lakhs. Above 80 percent of students are placed. I plan is take campus placement in 3rd semester.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good but this year no of placement is less as compare to the last year. In B.E. From 6 semster student were eligible for placement and all this big MNC visit the campus for placement like Infosys, Microsoft,etc.this 9000+ offer were there. Near about 70% student get placement. My plans after the degree I want to became the data analytics after the completion of course.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is 93 percent this year . Companies start visiting department in the month of September. Students are eligible for placement as they enter in the final year (7 semester) . The average package is around 5.5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is 12 lakh per annum. Students can go in field of pharmaceutical industry, oil and petroleum, fertiliser, paints, chemicals etc . Or students can opt for higher studies masters, MBA , abroad opportunities. Around 45 companies visited for placements with average 5 offers per company.

Placement Experience:

Placements starts from sixth semester. Students are free to register as per company eligibility criterion. Companies like Amazon, jp Morgan, Flipkart, dbs, Watchguard, and many more comes for recruitment. From 7th semester on an average we get atleast one company per day.

Honest review about Chandigarh university

Placement Experience:

The placement are good, you will see many companies visit the campus such as Amazon Google Wipro TCS connivance Accenture Deloitte and many more. The main baad thing is their placements is that if you get a offer from any company irrespective of package then you have to accept and there is no option to deny the offer aane of you don't join then you will get debated from placement process.

Remarks:

I chose this college because I was not able to get admission in pec and this college was the only option. Academics wise its good. Faculties are good. The bad side is the college life you expect its almost zero there. No social life. There are only 5-600 students in the campus. And pretty bad cafeteria.

Admission:

To get the admission here you have to appear for jee mains. And according to the cutoffs you will get the admission. I prepared for it with my normal tutions.
