- The food is decent. The menu is vast and the mess opens 5 times in a day
- The campus is really big and not to forget, beautiful
Dislikes
- Security is too strict. It forces a restriction
- The campus being big is also a downside as commuting from senior hostels to academic blocks where classes are held are very long and tiring, specially in the summer
Course Curriculum Overview :
Shiv Nadar has focused on making the course very practical and it has made sure the course actually gives the student a real life or a a real world experience of their career. All courses in the university are 4 years long. That means 8 sememters. The 8th semester for many course (including mine) give you an option to write a thesis paper or take up a 6 month internship
Placement Experience :
A lot of universities offer placements but none like shiv Nadar. They have more than 100 companies coming in for placements and I am very sure, anyone reading this would be extremely excited to work with all the big companies that come to campus for placement
Fees and Financial Aid :
My tuition fees amount to 4,00,000 every year and the annual living expenses (a compulsory as shiv Nadar is a residential college) is 1,25,840 a year. The total amounting to 5,25,840rs a year. This fee structure has been changed since I have taken admission. The university has taken in more than twice the amount of students this year (a year after my admission) than my batch. It has also increased the fees of various courses by 20-30%
Campus Life :
As I have mentioned earlier, everything to make a home away from home is available inside the 281 acre campus. Name the sport, this University has its facilities. (Including: discuss throw, javelin throw, and even horse riding). The only sport the campus is lacking is swimming
Hostel Facilities :
All rooms in the campus are extremely well kept and I have no issues with any of them. Maintenance is on call and infact there are whole systems in place that automatically require a checkup of the room. Hostels are very affordable
Admission :
The admission Process of my college was pretty simple. Mind you, the process was simple but getting chosen was not. I consider shiv Nadar to be a top tier university as I have experienced it. They are strict with the education system in place and should be proud of it.
Faculty :
The faculty is very good as they are highly trained, highly educated and extremely friendly. The exam structure is very unexpected and frankly there is nothing wrong with it. It is the same as any school going kid would imagine a college examination to feel like. Quizes, assignments, midsems, quizes and then endsems
Night Life :
As a first year, the admin of the University imposes a 12am curfew. It means that all students of the first year are supposed to be inside their hostel buildings by 12am. Campus curfews are a little different but I think it has been kept early at 8pm night because of dadri (campus location) is a village area and not very safe

Shiv Nadar seemed like a better option in almost every aspect when compared to the college's that I was offered in DU
