Course Curriculum Overview :

Our curriculum aims to provide a strong foundation in computer science principles while allowing students to specialize in areas of interest and gain practical experience through projects and internships. They always provides class tested along with internal exams. That helps us to cover our portions everyday

Internships Opportunities :

We usually do internships during the semester breaks with the permission from the college. It helps us with our academics and placements, but more than that, we can earn a huge number of activity points from this. Projects are usually done during the last semester.

Placement Experience :

There are many programs to improve our placement capabilities. These programs provide spoken English classes and PMKVY Yojana classes. S6 and S7 students have the opportunity to attend placement sessions. The average package that the companies usually provide is 200,000 per annum. Usually, 10-15 students get placed in the first session, and the rest will be considered in the other upcoming sessions. I'm planning to do ethical hacking course after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid :

I'm a management quota student, so I need to pay 60,000 per year as a tuition fee and 20,000 as an admission fee for the first year. They provide scholarships for SC/ST minority caste students, and they don't need to pay anything as a tuition fee. NRI quota students need to pay 75,000 as a basic tuition fee, and merit students need to pay 45,000. They also have a scholarship of 3,000 rupees per year.

Campus Life :

There are a Tech Festival, a Cultural Festival, and University Cultural and Sports events held at our college. The library has a good collection but lacks Malayalam literature. That disappointed me a lot. Speaking on the tech provisions, the faculty usually uses PPTs to teach and utilizes the labs properly. Extracurricular activities are provided very well, and we were the national intercollege kabaddi champions in 2023. NSS, JRC, GDSC, and many more clubs are running very well.

Admission :

I've also applied to Carmel Collage of Engineering, Alappuzha and Sreebudha college of engineering. But Mahaguru has the NBA accredition to the CSE department and this college was very close to my village. The admission process was very easy and there was no complications

Faculty :

We have approximately 300 students in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department and about 28 faculty members. All of them are friendly and approachable for any assistance needed. Sreelekshmi miss and Preethi miss are my favorites, and they are very supportive. We have about 46 subjects in the entire course, and the average all-pass percentage is 60%, I believe.

Night Life :

The gym and cafeterias will close at around 8pm and other facilities will close when classes end. We need to enter the hostel at 5 pm after the classes wind up. The locality is safe, and the locals are very helpful and friendly as the college is situated within a residential community. But the best hangout places are little far from the college

Students are eligible for placement from semester 6. Many of the largest companies such as Cisco, IBM, Wipro etc come for placements. The largest package was 40 LPA from IT department and average package is 6 LPA. Last year's batch had placement percentage of 90%. My future plans are to try my best for placements, no plans for suture studies as of now.
