Remarks :

The positive remark is that the college runs with a very good vision on project based learning and I can't say about the negative remarks since for me their are no negative things here to say about this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course computer science is very good here, the faculties are very supportive and the academic curriculum is well structured with two semesters in one academic year, also they conduct monthly Cumulative assessment test which is given 25% weightage in the final tests.

Placement Experience :

Yes, the placements are very good here in this college, also the college provides various scholarships and internships to the well deserved students, many big companies like IBM, capgemini, zoho and Ernst & Young has came for recruitment.

The fees is feasible if you have good academic scores in your higher secondary that is your 12th cbse board or state board scores, our college also provides free seat to those exceptional Talented individuals who got very high marks in their higher secondary.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Merit cum means scholarship, this scholarship is encouraged by our college to the students to avail this scholarships, since it provides financial support to those students having good academic background.

Campus Life :

The events consists of two types of events, one technical and other non-technical, the technical symposium is held once a year separately for each departments and the non-technical is held jointly for all the departments. Also our institute conducts sports day annually, apart from that it also conducts marathons. The labs are well equipped with all the modern facilities.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is very good with well equipped rooms and food mess, the food provided here is of best quality and worth for the money, they provide both veg and non-veg food, and as for the accommodation rooms, they are providing accommodation for all UG and PG students.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

The passed out students and alumni from this college are going good in their career now with everyone well established, the college has also produced many alumni who are celebrities now like Arya, Karthi, etc.

Faculty :

The faculties here are very supportive and are much knowledgeable with deep understanding of the subject, also every faculty has good education like masters and post graduation. The faculty teaches keeping in mind of project based learning.

Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
