Campus Life
Campus life at CIPET-IPT Chennai offers a blend of rigorous academics, a supportive placement structure, and the practical facilities needed for students to excel in the field of plastic and polymer technology. Students are drawn to CIPET-IPT for its stellar placement record, with packages ranging from INR 35,000 to INR 80,000 per month. As a central government institution, CIPET-IPT stands as a reputed hub for hands-on learning in plastic technology, offering students robust lab facilities that distinguish it from other institutions, like the Madras Institute of Technology. While classroom teaching can sometimes fall short of expectations—with faculty attendance being inconsistent and some teachers lacking in engagement—the practical lab sessions make up for it. In these sessions, dedicated faculty members, like Bala Sir, ensure that students grasp the subject fully, only moving on when students feel comfortable with the topic. This focus on practical learning is critical in the field of polymer and plastic technology, where theoretical knowledge needs to be complemented with hands-on skills. The exams, conducted by Anna University, are generally fair and manageable, with a grading approach that many find reasonable. Beyond academics, the campus infrastructure supports students in various ways. The campus boasts well-equipped labs and mechanical facilities, helping students acquire the practical skills necessary for their industry. Additionally, students benefit from a placement cell that consistently connects graduates to lucrative job opportunities, thus enhancing the appeal of CIPET-IPT across India. While the campus could improve its offerings in terms of faculty support and classroom teaching quality, students have access to resources that facilitate independent study and practical application of concepts. Social life on campus is somewhat laid-back; although there is not a bustling club culture, students form close bonds through shared classes and lab work.
Admission
I got CIPET IPT CHENNAI in Tamilnadu engineering counselling . I also applied for Madras institute of Technology in rubber and plastic Technology but I only choose CIPET because this a premium institute and the best institute in the field of plastic Technology and also compared to MIT.. CIPET has more lab and mechanical facilities to study in a more practical way and also a Central Government College
Faculty
