- Sports facility is very bad as there is only 1 badminton indoor court for whole campus.
- The hook-up culture in thapar is very bad.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am interested in computers. The curicullum from second year is relevant for the real-world. I think they should review 1st year course and remove chemistry, manpro, environement from first year, Classes are 4 times a day of 1 hour each and approx. 5 days a week.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 3,27,000 for 1st semester in which 30,000 is security deposit and admission fees.Total 4 year fees is 23,80,000 so per year it is 5,95,000. People pursuing ECE course have 21,60,000 total fees so there yearly fees is 5,40,000.
Campus Life :
Annual events of thapar include SATURNALIA which is one of the best in North-India.It happens in November. There is mudranite. They have qulloqium which is tech event of the year which happens around february. Library of Thapar is one of the best things in thapar. It's infrastructure is just amazing. Our all classes are held on projector. extracurricular is good but sports facility is not so good I would say / Yes, there are many student-run social groups like pratigya, enactus and all.
Admission :
This was the best college available for my percentile. I got confirmed admission from MAIT and some others too but stats of this college was better. Just fill there admission form for admission in this college and if you clear the cut off then pay the fees. around 93 percentile in JEE mains for Computer is preferred cut off but they also take admission on basis of CBSE
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is I guess 1 to 40 as there are 200 students in every class. Faculty as such is approachable to talk to in class or after class also. I like Bharat Soni sir for his knowledge of maths There are mid-sems and end-sems for every semester 1st year is irrelevant but rest of curicullum is good.
