- The best is that college has a tunnel that connects to the newly built campus which is equipped with labs and therefore we don't have to cross the gate every single time.
- Facilities to learn includes a central library and we also have one departmental library too.
Dislikes
- The area in which the college is located is too far from the airport and the railway station.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our curriculum hasn't been inspired by any university but from the industries itself. The college has its tie up with some of the largest conglomerate on earth and they are the guiding force behind what to be included in our curriculum.
Internships Opportunities :
From ISRO, to Lenskart, the college helps students in finding the right internship. All the students are advised to have at least 2-3 internships done before the final year begins. I did my internship in Isro last year along with 16 more students from the University.
Placement Experience :
Plans for placements start in the 6th semester and students had to send in their CVs to the T&P department. They notify us as soon as the placement requirement comes and once it's there, we all get to sit for as many companies until we have an offer letter in our hand.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees at GEU is fixed 5 lakhs a year. It increased by 20k as last year it 4.8 lakhs. This is for all the general category students but my batchmates os SC/ST category has 20% on tuition fees. Also, scholarships are awarded to students on EWS, PWD and Sports quota students.
Campus Life :
Tech-Festvof Graphic era has invited students from many top colleges of Uttarakhand including IIT Roorkee. The cultural fest GRAFEST too has seen students participating from various other universities. Sports activities are there but not many university students are involved in sports but the university has set-up sports facilities and have specialised coaches too for sports like badminton and football.
Admission :
I applied for COER but the cut-off was higher than I had scored. So, i faced rejection and immediately switched to Graphic Era as here theres no cut-off challenge but direct admissions. The university has its own common entrance test and then a round of counselling. This is how most of the students here get admissions.
Faculty :
Faculties I won't say are the best but are good in their job. They are always on time and irrespective of what students say behind their back, they always try to bring out the best from the students. Labs is where they love taking us and more than theory class we have to be present in labs with them.
