All through VIT-Vellore

Remarks :

Vit is overall very good when spoken about the academics of cocurricular. But there are certain rules for students on the campus which seems vague. The college is very strict when it comes to maintaining discipline on the campus

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is very good and useful. The courses offered are up to date with the latest trends in the industry. The syllabus is also very precise. There are three exams in a semester, two continuous assessments (known as cats), and one term-end. Apart from that, there are quizzes and digital assignments.

Placement Experience :

Placements in vit are awesome. Almost all the students who sit for placements get a dream or super dream offer. The highest package was offered by Microsoft which is 39lpa. Yes, even companies come for internships and offer stipend up to 75k per month. More than 250 companies come for placements and also offer internships both for third and fourth-year students.

College Events :

The main fest is riviera which is held in February. It is the second-largest fest in India. More than 100 events take place as it is the cultural fest. There is yet another technical fest known as gravitas which is held in September. A lot of workshops happen in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure also depends on om the VITEEE rank. There are categories of fees from 1 to 5. In each category, the fees increase. The starting fee is 4lpa including hostels. The fee is a bit high but the college is worth it. Category 5 becomes very costly.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers scholarships to students who secure less than 25000 ranks in VITEEE. Apart from that, there is a loan facility also for students. And also there are always various scholarship programs that come up for the students who deserve so one can always apply.

Campus Life :

The labs are well equipped with the latest instruments. The instruments are of the research level. The college provides various opportunities for extra-curricular activities starting from cricket, football, basketball, swimming, tennis, etc. There are separate grounds for boys and girls.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I stay in the hostel. The hostels are clean and well maintained. There are 4 blocks in the ladies hostel and 17 blocks in the boys hostel. The hygiene is always maintained in the hostels. Blocks are cleaned thrice regularly. The mess food is also very good. There are a gym, extra co-curricular activities in the hostel itself.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni are very helpful. If you can connect with them, they give you total knowledge about the process. Most of the people get places in a super dream company and are settled in different cities. There is no ragging on the campus at all so the seniors and juniors have close friendships.

Faculty :

The faculties are well educated. You can always go up to the faculties for clearing your doubts. Also, they are very helpful. We can write research papers or journals under any faculty. They also guide us in our projects.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
