Remarks :

The college is all-in-all a great college to study in with all amenities one needs. You may be a day scholar or a hostelier and you will be provided with top notch facilities, great faculty, helpful students and staff.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has a duration of 5 years. The course curriculum was pretty good and lives up to the name of this esteemed university. The subjects were very interesting and fun to learn including all the lab and practical sessions. There was extensive research work which made us understand the course in depth and gave us adequate information and knowledge. The exams were carried out pretty well, twice a year. There were several internal assessments that helped us prep up for the exams along with practical assessments. The lab sessions were pretty laid back and hence it did not get very stressful.

Placement Experience :

Some of the companies visiting this campus are Novartis, Cognizant and TCS. The college tries to provide internships and placement to students of all streams. In order to go for placement, the students have to apply directly to the university and in case of vacancy, they will get a follow up.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for the 5 year course is 42,900 INR per year, which is moderately expensive but lesser than the other courses. It may not be feasible for everyone but you can break it down and pay it in installments.

Campus Life :

Apart from being study oriented, the college has a lot more to offer to the students as extra curricular. To keep everyone up to date, the college has provided the students as well as the teachers with a Digital library. The labs are plenty to accomodate all students for practical sessions. To provide the students with a healthy and tasty diet, there is a cafeteria, a gym fo the health controllers, a hospital for emergencies within the campus, an auditorium for events and seminars, guest house for the guests of the students such as parents visiting, post office, bank, meeting halls, ATM, Music room, etc. There are all basic amenities as well as high class facilities available.

Hostel Facilities :

the hostel facilities provided to the students are very up to the mark. The infrastructure is modern and well done with highly ventilated rooms, AC and Non AC, Wifi for the students living in the hostels, parking for their vehicles, and twin and triple sharing rooms. The accomodation is enough.

Alumni/Alumna :

The Alumni and the senior students are very generous and do not hesitate from imparting knowledge to the juniors. They are always willing to help a junior in nee and guide them wherever necessary and asked for.

Admission :

To get admission into the college, the candidate has to first give the MBBS, BDS: NEET UG entrance exam. NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test by registering on the official website. This entrance test is for any and every course related to the medical field. The eligibility criteria to gain admission in the college is 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics,Chemistry and Biology or Biotechnology + NEET. Once you have given the NEET exam and have passed with the required number of minimum marks, the candidate has to go for counselling. Visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee and click on new registration. After entering the required details, a new roll number and password will be generated which will be used to register for the NEET counselling. After the counselling process is over, the candidate will be allotted a college partly based on their preferences and partly based on their marks.

Faculty :

The faculty is extremely helpful and giving and helps us stay focused on studies. We can always rely on the professors and it is a very nice and friendly environment in the classrooms. They always push us to do our best and work our minds to the fullest. the faculty is very well qualified and quite scholarly. They are very well informed about whatever subjects they teach us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As second BDS student, we are still dealing with amalgam filling and tooth restoration, which, as of now isn't really preferred. I would love to learn the newer methods. But this isn't the college's fault. That's the problem of MUHS curriculum. We were even stopped from crown prep because MUHS has declined it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Dentistry has a wide scope in medical sector. In the internship period students are exposed to the real world patients which makes it possible for a good experience and to tackle future challenges. Dentistry on the other hand is quite expensive, the materials, instruments are expensive for a student who has weak financial background . Also in dentistry we have 19 subjects which have to be studied over 4 years, but 11 of them are divided in first three years and final year has 8 subjects which is difficult to get through so I would suggest to have a term wise pattern in final year exams rather than giving all 8 subjects at once. The difficulty level in exams for 1st 2nd and final year is moderately hard and 3rd year is easy

Placement Experience:

The medical and dental institutions across the nation do not follow the practice of campus placements. After graduating with a BDS degree, one can pursue MDS, MPH, MBA or MHA. courses. The majority of graduates work under experienced practitioners to gain work experience before starting their own clinic. The same can also be done by joining corporate dental chains. Some graduates apply for jobs as tutors and Junior Residents. Graduates also opt for short courses on implants and aesthetic dentistry to gain more hands-on experience. The opportunities are immense and the path chosen depends completely on individual preferences. I personally aim to pursue MDS in Oral Surgery after graduation.
