  • Study life balance becomes a mismatch here as studies are too rigorous here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

BA in International Relations is a rare course and there is a wide gap in it as every country has their own usp. Every company or start-up that is built in India today wants to go global and therefore our course is adept in teaching us how to maintain that.

Placement Experience :

Placements which have become rare for BA students it's exactly the opposite for our course. Many start-ups as I said need students who knows international relations are maintained. Companies like Coco-Cola, P&G and HUL are among the top recruiters. Ab average salary of 40-50k is offered to students doing BA in International Relations. The strength is just 50+ and therefore to position ourselves and get a job at SJU is quite easy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

SJU Bangalore is little expensive and therefore fees for my BA course is 1.11 lakhs. Karnataka government runs a lot of scholarship programs and thus not just SC/ST students but even the who scores well in entrance can bring down their fees significantly through those scholarship programs.

Campus Life :

SJU has events and activities every well but annual fest which is one and only is VISAGES. March every year it is organized inside the campus and is supported by various corporates and celebrities. The campus is huge and has all the facilities like libraries, cricket ground of international standards and a football ground which is best in Bangalore. Not just outdoor but Indoor sports facilities are also equally good and every year we have an annual fest for sports too.

Admission :

SJUET is mandatory for students applying for admission at SJU. Entrance is held in rounds and on the basis of marks once score in that, admissions are alloted. I applied for Christ University and SJU and I was qualified for both the colleges but I chose SJU as the academics are best here.

Faculty :

One of most experienced faculties on the planet can be found at SJU. Since, our course is International Relations some of our professors are those who have previously worked in government departments and understand how international relations are maintained. Some of our professors even after have decades of experience are still involved in researches. Hence, they are arguably one of the best that one can ever find.

Psychology course curriculum is great. It's interesting and informational and you also get practical learning Optional English i regret choosing because it's not what i expected it to be. There's a lot of reading to be done and you have to be regular. the teachers don't really do a good job of making the subject interesting. there's 2 sets of exams mid sem is 25 marks end sem is 60 difficulty level - easy-medium

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college and it is headed by an associate professor. The students from the 1st to 6th semester are getting placed. Recently we had companies like Wipley, Optum, Toyota, Wipro, etc. The highest package is 7 lakh and the average package is around 3-4 lakh per year. I have planned to go for government jobs after my graduation.

Admission:

I got admission in the college by filling the admission registration form which is available online on the college's website. The admissions are completely based on the marks you score in the CBSE 12th examination.

Placement Experience:

The college offers on-campus job program for the students to make them independent and responsible. It arranges appointments on the basis of references and interviews. The college also provides Job orientation to all the selected students.

Remarks:

It has it's ups and downs, but it's easy to ignore the negative points and just enjoy the positives if you really want to. There is a lot of politics on campus that can be quite frustrating sometimes, but I think that's the case everywhere.
