Course Curriculum Overview :

Psychology course curriculum is great. It's interesting and informational and you also get practical learning Optional English i regret choosing because it's not what i expected it to be. There's a lot of reading to be done and you have to be regular. the teachers don't really do a good job of making the subject interesting. there's 2 sets of exams mid sem is 25 marks end sem is 60 difficulty level - easy-medium

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee structure - Tuition fee - ?105000 - Application fee - ?1500(one time) - Aditional Cost- No extra fees but textbooks cost extra. Financial Aid and Scholarships - Scholarships and Financial Aid are available based on: Merit Category ( SC/ST/OBC) Need based support Free meals offered to students from low income households

Campus Life :

There's events like Prathiba, swagath etc usually has a dj but not that fun in my opinion there's not a lot of stalls and doesn't feel like a fest the library is open for a long time and lots of books and info available they also have a digital space with computers you can work on. there's a projector in almost all classrooms some don't work though there's sports clubs and extra curricular clubs that you can apply for

Admission :

I applied to Christ University, Manipal University and Jain and got into all of them. I didn't want to go to christ as i got in the yeshwanthpur campus and that's very far also its strict about dress code and 85% attendance Manipal in bangalore was also far and since it was new i wasn't sure how it would be Jain i didn't want to go as everyone who i spoke to ab it said not to go there because of the management.

Faculty :

Faculty is really approachable you can go to them with anything and they'll do their best to help. You can also text them outside hours and they still help. Psychology department most of the faculty is nice. English department some are nice some are not. there's usually 2 main CIA's along with a PIA, a mid sem exam and end sem exam for each term. It's not very hard if you study well and most can pass if you're regular but if not then optional english is a bit harder

Night Life :

The nightlife next to college isn't that great. there are small restaurants that are crowded and you'll always see college students around. there's shops like goldbelly, maachiz, rolls kitchen etc there's gyms and parks nearby Places like koramangala and church street are just 15-20 mins away and the nightlife is great there. the boys hostel in time is around 6:30/7 i'm in the first shift so classes start by 7 and end by 12

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Recently we had companies like Wipley, Optum, Toyota, Wipro, etc. The highest package is 7 lakh and the average package is around 3-4 lakh per year. I have planned to go for government jobs after my graduation.

Admission:

I got admission in the college by filling the admission registration form which is available online on the college's website. The admissions are completely based on the marks you score in the CBSE 12th examination.

Remarks:

It has it's ups and downs, but it's easy to ignore the negative points and just enjoy the positives if you really want to. There is a lot of politics on campus that can be quite frustrating sometimes, but I think that's the case everywhere.
