- The amount of students that are in the college is a concern.
- I know it is for the safety of the students only, but restricting the entry time is a huge con for me.

Campus Life :
There are several clubs, societies and chapters in thapar. I am part of two such societies. Societies are alloted a faculty as the president with students themselves as the ones that run the society. The main techno fest saturnalia is a yearly fest that attracts some of the best artists and is one of the best in north india. This is funded by the thapar management and also the organizing commitee is students only. Apart from this there are several fests and events that occur throughout the year. Every society has its flagship event throughout the year. There are dedicated sports events every year and also instructors for teaching students sports. All the classsrooms are upto modern standard with renovations goung on for those that lack. The library has an abundant amount of books for every genre every subject. The societies are a wonderful way to socialize and find people with common interest. There are about 43 total societies and clubs.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are a recommendation for thapar. The rooms are here ac and non ac both. In some hostels there are rooms with attached washroom. The mess menu is changed frequently by the mess commitee. The prices vary 65000 to 114000 per semester this includes the mess fee as well as all the maintaining fees.
Admission :
I chose thapar because of several reasons, location, alumini network and also thapar being one of the most prestigious universities of our country. The admission is done on the basis of merit of jee mains and percentage in pcm of 12th boards.
Faculty :
There are total 2 exams each semester, and also quizs and lab evaluations that carry weightage to the final result. There are about a 100 hundred students with one faculty through classes and around 15 students to 1 faculty through the mentor program. Some of the faculities here are really amazing, they guide the students really great ways. The faculty often takes several students with them for researches and projects. It is quite easy to approach all the faculty.
