  • The college is situated a little away from the city.
  • The hostels alloted to the IPM students are 5 kms from college so the students have to take a bus to college every day.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason why I chose IPM is the curriculum that it offers. The course program is full of practical knowlege and experience which prepared a student to step into the world of corporate. Every student have to make and deliver presentations regularly and timely as punctuality is very strict at TAPMI. This makes students ready to face the real world problems that will come their way. Students also have midsems and endsems exams every semester in an interval of 2 months each. The difficulty level of exams in my perspective is moderate to tough.

Internships Opportunities :

After the first year of IPM, the students are required to do a Social Internship in any NGO or NPO or the CSR army of a company where the students are required to do on ground work for a period of 6 weeks. This is not a paid internship. After the second year, the students do a corporate or sales internship in which they have to go to a different city and work at a corporate firm at their office. The is a paid internship. The average stipend provided is around ?25000 per month for a duration of 2 months. During the fourth year, students have to do a summer internship in any MNC where they learn how to work in a corporate firm and gain industry experience. Many students get PPOs during these internships. The Average stipend offered is around 50000.

Placement Experience :

TAPMI offers one of the best placements in the country. The students can sit in the campus placements after the 4th year of IPM or after 1st year of MBA. A total of 90 companies came for placements and made 368 offers in 2024. The highest package stood at 32 LPA and Average Package at 14 LPA CTC. 100% of the students got placed with 90+ students getting a PPO.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fees of IPM at TAPMI, Manipal is ?500000 this includes Tution fees of ?375000 and other expenses like caution fees, development fees, lab fees, etc. of ?125000. The total course fees is ?2500000 for 5 years with exit option after 3 years. TAPMI also provide merit based scholarship of reimbursement of 30% of the total yearly fees to the top 10% or the batch every year.

Campus Life :

The campus life at TAPMI is full of fun and work with best in class infrastructure and course program. TAPMI also organises an annual fest called ATHARVA which has a legacy of over 38 years! There are 30+ clubs and commities for students to be a part of as per their interests including cultural committee, sports committee and even Toastmasters Club! The library present at the campus has hundreds of books in every domain and every student of the college has the access to the liabrary facilities.

Hostel Facilities :

In Manipal, we have one of the best hostel facility in India, The New International Hostels (NIH) for students of all the colleges of MAHE. The rooms are well furnished with double occupancy accomodation. Every room has an attached washroom and centralised AC facility with 24 hours electricity and water supply. Hot and cold water is available at all times. The Mess facility at the hostels is also good with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. The quality of the food provided is fine. Manipal also has a lot of rented accommodation and PGs for students.

Admission :

The admission process for IPM at TAPMI:- Entrance exam - IPMAT, JEE, NEET, MET, CLAT, JIPMAT (Any one compulsory, all accepted) Personal Interview - After clearing the cutoff marks of the entrances, the students are required to give a personal Interview which consist of an extempore and talking about the aspirations and expectations of the students along with a few academic questions. Past academics - TAPMI also gives weightage to past academics of the students and consider them during admission.

Faculty :

The faculties provided are very supportive and experienced in their fields. Most of them are PHDs with decades of teaching experience. The faculty to student ratio is 20:1 which is good enough. Talking about exams, we have 2 semester every year with midsem and endsem examinations in each semester. The level of difficulty of exams is moderate to tough which makes students to work hard without burdening them so much.

Interview Experience :

For admission into the IPM coirse at TAPMI, the students have to go through a Personal Interview round in which they are required to prepare a Statement of purpose(SOP). The questions of the interview are around and about the SOP which the student provides along with an extempore speech round.

Night Life :

Manipal is the biggest college student town in India with over 30000 students studying in different courses and colleges. So the nighlife is full of fun and enjoyment around the campus with restaurants, clubs, parks all around. There are a lot of Gyms, Cafetarias and liabraries around and in the campus. The safety and security around the area is well maintained.

Campus placements are best. You will be placed and the placement committee will not close the placement until and unless every single student is placed. You get different sectors to choose like consulting, finance, sales and marketing, operations, product Management etc
